mcpapa
1. Clark County. Seven straight wins by an average score of 74-50. Need everyone to get healthy by tourney time. 2. Mason County. About 4 free throws and a fainting fan from being undefeated on the year. 3. Scott. Finds a way to win the close ones. 4. Campbell County. Nerl and Albrecht a nice 1-2 punch. 5. Bishop Brossart. Tough defense keeps them in just about every game. 6. Montgomery County. No signature wins yet; most impressive games may be close losses to Christian County and Manual. 7. Harrison County. As goes Custard, so go the Breds. 8. Deming. Best of the rest, but on any given night... 9. St. Patrick. Mason putting up nice numbers this year. 10. Calvary Christian. Hard to get a bead on CC; they rarely play any 10th region games. 11. Augusta. Must have Mofford playing. 12. Bracken County. Two straight wins have to be encouraging; first time all season. 13. Bourbon County. Will know more tomorrow night when they travel to Falmouth. 14. Pendleton County. See above. 15. Nicholas County. Only region win so far was over Paris. 16. Paris. See above. 17. Silver Grove. Tough year; still looking for that first "W". Edited January 19, 2009 by mcpapa
polarbear1994
I think Clark and Mason are more 1 and 1A than 1 and 2. We'll find out February 6. GRC has a tough week then, facing LexCath on 2/3 and then Mason on 2/6. Everything else looks great though.

I get to see Campbell and Brossart alot, but miss alot of the other teams. We tend to build an island in A-town and not venture off too much - Especially when it's cold!:thumb:

Also look for Mason to take over the #1 spot in the coming weeks.....GRC has just faced so many injuries. We have 6 players that have already faced injuries this year. Pervis is out for the year, Rogers is out indefinitely, and Hatton and Williams are still not 100%. Just hope the Cards can get healthy for the post season. Really appreciate you doing the rankings papa.....great job.:thumb: Hope you will do this each week.

I said the whole time that Mason and Clark should be put both at 1 whichever way you want to put them but their both the top teams in this region followd by Scott. Even with the injuries I think the Conner game might affect their ratings a little bit.

BaseballIsLife
With the loss by GRC, I think as long as Mason takes care of business for the rest of the week they should be the #1 ranked team in the 10th. Even with the disappointing loss by Scott, they still will be the #3 ranked team. Hopefully Scott and GRC rebound for the next game and I'm sure they will

Then after the tourney they will face Lexington Catholic, Mason Co, Franklin Co and Ballard, to name a few. Rogers goes to the specialists on Friday. In addition, Rogers is scheduled to undergo a previously scheduled outpatient procedure Wednesday, which will likely keep him out of the lineup for the next two weeks. We are hoping he can come back this season....but we will just have to wait and see. GRC will go down in the rankings , but that is OK. We just need everyone healthy, so we can try and make a run in the post season. Edited January 20, 2009 by gold sunrise
