What were some of the better achievements throughout the year? What are some stats that might be "eye-popping" or just flat out impressive?

The Knights came out much more prepared than their opponents. Great job by the LC coaching staff!

Robinson is a great Qb but when you have 4-5 guys in your face it is very hard to get a pass off, This kid is the real deal and I hope him the best in college. Way to go Knights on title #2 Congratulations to LO on one amazing year and a great turnaround in program and hopes that this will continue.

How about when Lexington Catholic went to Highlands in 2005 and shut them out.

LexCath's defense has played very well together all year and has already pitched five shutouts. I think their senior dominated D will be ready for the challenge and to get respect of the doubters.

Smart is walking-on at Vandy, Stewart committed to the Air Force Academy, Novosel is undecided but has D1 offers, and Sanford is just a junior, he scored 15pts against Lafayette last night

Depends, if LexCath jumps out early like they did against Bell Co. it could get ugly. Guy will see more snaps at qb then he did last meeting which could cause problems for Harrison but it is to go to the state championship game. LexCath 35 Harrison 14

LexCath is questioned for there point guard play, but with Vee Sanford (transfer from LAfayette who started) and other guards two of which started last year with much more experience now i don't think they will have a problem. With Sanford now i don't see much of a weakness and they play eight or nine deep. LexCath 75 CovCath 62

Noll couldn't guard Novosel at all this summer. Lex Cath won't bring any crowd, and cov cath student section is second to none which could rattle lex cath, but i take lex cath by 15+. They are too big, too strong, and too athletic for cov cath, but cov cath is a good team, probably the best in the 9th region and it could very easily be a close game

i think the knights will be the deepest team in the state. They have 9 seniors and most will play, while they also have a couple of young players who could end up seeing spot minutes

In all honesty, i believe Lexington Catholic is the best team in Lexington this year. This thread, however, is about Henry Clay and Trinity. Lets get back to discussion about the game.

Just a reply from an earlier post. Although LexCath hasn't played anybody from the mountains this year,(except Pikeville) Bill Letton used to coach at Prestonsburg. He knows just how special high school football is in these areas. He will have his team ready for the environment at bell county.

People are making it seem like that if the field is in bad condition that LC wont be able to play that well. I think that is totaly misleading considering that LC has more rushing yards than passing yards. Not to mention that they have one of the best running back in the state and a good back up that actually has more yards. The biggest weapon that Bell has imo is the kicking game. A sloppy field only hurts his chances to make field goals from long range and to kick the ball into the endzone on kickoffs.

Lex-Cath has 34 seniors and is the biggest they have ever been up front.

In response to this message, The Knights have played a much much tougher schedule than Bell County. Their defense has improved every game. In their most recent game against boyle, they held them to 7 rushing yards.

I honestly don't think bell county should doubt Lexington Catholic's defense.

What is, or was, the best team of the current decade? 2000-present.

If the two teams make it to the Region finals, I would love to see the LexCath-Bell County game

4 years ago this may have been a mark it down win for Lexcath, but FC has turned its program into a powerhouse and I dont see it slowing down anytime soon and by no means has anyone at Lexcath marked this as a W, more worried about the first 3 rounds before we can get to round 4. I have the nothing but respect for that team and would love nothing more then to meet them again in the 4th round for another great game.
