I too think that Collins is worthy of your ranking and praise. Rankings are for keyboard jockeys to pretend they know something. But your comment about GC is uneducated at best, considering that GC beat the team that you think should be number one.

Yeah, but to be honest, I think most of the All A naysayers aren’t just against it being called a “state championship”, they are just against the All A in general.

You are obviously a football person. No thanks......having 6 classes for football in this State is downright silly. Basketball is just fine as is, including the All A and AA. Believe it or not, I have known several kids to get a lot of college attention, and even offers due to their play in the All A “State” Tournament. I know a girl that is currently playing D1 basketball, that started to get her first interest from college coaches that saw her play for first time in the All A “State” Tournament.

I don't understand the premise that a high school basketball athlete can’t have a good experience without multiple, separated classes of competition. Basketball is not football. This might surprise many on here......the difference between NCAA D1/D2/D3 and has ZERO to do with enrollment. Same with NAIA and NJCAA.

Folks.....the All A has been keeping the rabid classificationists at bay for a long time. I see no reason that the 2A Classic will not do the same.

Coach Jones deserves all of the credit for eliminating the loser mentality that permeated the GC boys program for many years. He is definitely a top tier coach. But, to assume that GC is always full of kids that are void of talent is a lazy narrative.

Thoroughly enjoyed watching him play in 2015 Sweet 16, and got to watch him up close at Vincennes on a regular basis. Way to go JB.

Always fun to watch players make plays. Stanley and Rassman were fun to watch tonight.
