  1. Highlands is really even in a stranger position. They will probably have three sophmores that play varsity only, two of which will probably start. The JV team might be all juniors with an exception of maybe one or two.
  2. Guys...just take a deep breath...UK will be absolutely fine. Kentucky greatly overlooked GW last night and Patterson said the exact same thing. After two full hard weeks of practice this team will be ready to roll again. Don't say were going to terrible just because of one game. Where were all these posts pre GW? Just give it to Nov 21st when you see the new UK team step out there. Everything will be ok!
  3. Am anxious to watch Towles pitch this year. I've heard he's consistantly in the mid 80's right now.
  4. LSU wins but the streak ends this week....
  5. End up 3-9 with wins over Duke Navy and Standford. I total rebuilding year. Next year is going to be the year!

    AP Poll

You'll see on Thursday why we deserve to be #8!:ylsuper:
  7. If Kentucky just takes it one game at a time they will be fine. This team is different...I see them honestly losing to LSU and Florida, and that's all. That puts them at 10-2, and a New Year's Day Bowl. Call me crazy, but this is definitely realistic.
  8. With all the time Brohm had to throw, I think Brohm's old man could have put up those stats.
  9. Arkansas is one dimensoinal. If UK makes Arkansas try to beat them through the air, then this won't even be close. Arkansas' offense is nowhere near Louisville's. I think the Wildcats are on a mission and will be extremely focused. I see UK winning by a score of 28-17.
  10. But they definitely can against LOUISVILLE!:ylsuper:
  11. YOU CAN'T BE SERIOUS? Kent St just beat Iowa State in Aimes and didnt MTSU lose to Florida Atlantic? Kent State has a better QB and they have one of the top DB's in the nation. Kent St. would beat them worse then U of L did.
  12. UK will slow this game down and want to milk that clock as long as possible. If they can keep that Louisville offense off the field then they should pull this off. Louisville should still be aware they can go with the deep ball at anytime. Huge advantage in UK's favor vs the DB's of Louisville. This is going to be very interesting. I have a feeling the final score is definitely going to shock the nation though...
  13. Has UK ever played Notre Dame in football? I think it'd be an interesting matchup, especially this year.
  14. Are you serious?...there's not much to say about this game...it's gonna be a blowout in favor of the Cards...
  15. Many draft analysts have him going in the 1st round... He's got a pro body, and is very smart with the football... I think he'll be as good of pro QB as he is now.
  16. E.J. Murrey (Scott) Brady Slusher (Beechwood) Thomas Towles (Highlands) Mike Sullivan (Holy Cross) David Oetchide (Sp?) (Ryle) Thats all that I know of...
  17. HHS-48 Ryle-7 Not even a game...Highlands is the real deal this year!
  18. If it's true that some key players are leaving Boone County it seems the team to be beat is probably Highlands. Their 24 pt win over N.C, 17 point win over Ludlow and 15 point win over Holmes near the end of the season say a lot. The starting five for that group are back for 2 more years. With Allen being healthy, Towles who is now 6' plus and Mallory Adler's speed they are going to be tough to handle. A year of maturity will help these girls finish off games they didn't last year.
  19. How did the Kentucky Colonel's tryout go this weekend? Any surprises?
  20. Highlands has a sophmore to be who is now a 6' footer. She was the 2nd leading scorer on the team last year as a freshman and the leading rebounder. She we be a tough match up this year even for the older girls.
  21. I guess I'm a little puzzled about the expectations for Lundlow this year in the 9th. They were beaten last year in the regionals by 17 pts by a team comprised mainly of freshman and sophmores. That starting five will be back for two more years. I agree the team improved, but do not see them as a region contender.
  22. They will have a pretty good pitcher coming back (tall thin kid) next year that will be a senior. I saw him clocked at 86mph this summer by a scout.
  23. Highlands struggled a little this summer, but they were without their leading scorer Katie Allen and second leading scorer and leading rebounder Bekah Towles (sophmores to be). These two additions to the team when the season starts will help in a big way. I think Boone has to be the front runner with Highlands second and NC third. For NC to be successful they've got to keep the ball in Sandfoss's and Cundiff's hands.
  24. Kevin Love committed to UCLA his 8th grade year and he turned out pretty well...Dakotah Euton also had offers from Florida an Duke so we weren't the only ones who saw something in him... Let's just let everything take its course before we make such statements.
  25. You think Michael Porter is better then Bobby Perry?
