Last season they didnt have Gelawn Guyn or Richie Phares.

Im a Scott County alumni and season ticket holder. If this team wins the state championship. I will be just as proud of this team as I have been in the other two state championship teams. You still have kids, wether or not they are homegrown or not, playing their hearts out for the school you support.

There have been many players transfer in to Scott County, however there has been just as many transfer out. Transfers happen all over the state every year. The flood gates have been open for may years. Perhaps you just started to notice?

Its alot easier to move two miles down the road than for a family to uproot their family and move two hours away. You say that it is not uncommon for a kid to go back and fourth for whatever reason. Could that reason be for athletic reasons?

Im with you LMB, it sounds less fishy that a family move two hours away than five minutes. Once again there is not a school in the state that would turn away Euton and Jackson if they landed on their doorstep. Yet I believe that Eta stated that they should have to sit out a year, wonder if he believes that now that his team is reloading with transfers. Every child or parent should be able to choose a school that best suits their needs. However a school should not recruit a student.

Guyn is 6'3". What size do you think he is? Coach Hicks has said he fully expects Gelawn to play major division 1 basketball.

Im with you. All I have heard was this kid was going to end up in the Big East or the SEC, but he ends up in the Mid South Conference. That is a big difference. Im a homer for my team as much as anybody else, but Im still a realist. I have always thought Setty was a nice player, but never thought he was good enough for a major conference.

Basketball is a team game. I have never seen either Elliott or Rose Hill play in person, however from reading this message board it seems to me that Elliott has a far more deep team than Rose Hill. Several posts have stated that Euton and Jackson were double and triple teamed every game.

I agree. I have always thought that they were a top ten team in state even before the transfers.I dont think they are top 10 in the nation, maybe top 25 is more likely. When you have one of the best Senior, Junior, and Freshman in the state that still is a good lineup. Scott County should dominate the state next year with the transfers. I dont know if they can go through the schedule like the 2007 team undefeated, however I believe that it will take a strong effort with a little bit of luck for any team from Ky to beat this team. On paper this team is better than the 07 team, I believe this team has a better starting five and more depth.

She pitched 1 inning. She gave up one run. I have no idea why the pulled her after 1 inning. Scott went on to win the game 6-0.

Be careful what you wish for. The best coach in KY has put many a whippings on teams all over the nation.

I disagree with you on that. Scott County is alway scrutinized to high degree. Wether it be removing them from the 8th region or the ruling of Rodney Haddix ineligable. Just because the players are ruled eligable doesnt mean there was not an investigation held.

What could the KHSAA do? Kids transfer to other schools every year, some with strong athletic tradition others to schools with no tradition. As long as a school is not recruiting I dont think there is a problem.

Scott County played several teams to the final minute that were ranked in the top 25 in the nation. They spanked the the state champions at their home. Scott County had a season that 99% of the rest of the teams would dream about. And all this happened with losing your best player a month before practice was to start. And as far as rankings go Scott County was ranked anywhere from 1-4. No team in the state can keep that type of ranking and lose 1/2 their scoring from the year before. You say underachieved I say it was a very sucessful year.
