I watched the game and thought JBS looked very sloppy. Their offense was good but they had tons of turnovers and played bad defense. They better show better defense effort against Cordia on Friday. It was like watching a regular season NBA game where no one plays defense.

It is good for a small school like Cordia to get the recognition they deserve.

Congradulations to Gilbert on the honor. Does anyone know who is looking at him for college?

This outcome did not surprise me. Cordia has a very good team and is well coached. This was a good win for Jeffs program.

They have not won a regional but maybe a district once...

June Buchanan will not overlook Jenkins and will win by double figures.

This will be a close game and if LCC overlooks Cordia they may get beat. Cordia has a very dangerous and well coached team.

I was impressed with the composure the young team from JBS showed. They need to show the same intensity against Jenkins.

This will be a hard game to get in to watch. I hear that they are going to let only the first 2200 people in per the fire marshall. The gym is a special place to watch Hazard vs PCC. This could be one of the best district games in the state. Either team could win but it will probably come down to freethrows.

They will play Jenkins wed night.

I thought both teams played very hard and it was a shame one had to lose. Knott co could have folded but they fought the whole game. I was very impressed with the good sportmanship showed by both teams. Both of these teams have a ton of young players and both have a good future ahead of them. I was impressed with the two eighth graders on both teams.(Cox and Stamper).

Leslie should win but if they underestimate Buckhorn it will be a long ride back to Hyden. They better be ready to play because Buckhorn will be......

I think Neil Feltner at Knott County has done a great job molding his team this year. He seems to get the most out of his players. I also think Al Holland has done a great job with less talent than he is used to.

I am surprised that so few people think JBS will win this one. I thought that they would be the favorite but apparently not. They really need to win this game to get that big tourney game win. These are two of my favorite teams but I think JBS will win this one by 7.

That is a very fair assessment...

There is no way to tell because to seed all teams in the district have to play each other two times. I personally think all teams in every district should have to seed and it shouldnt be something they get to vote on.

Letcher does have a good team and seems to be peaking at the right time. They are well coached and will be hard to handle in the region...

When you speak of arrogance I am confused because I do not know any kids on the team that I have found to be arrogant. What I have found is kids who work very hard on their academics and are rewarded by getting to play sports. JBS has around 30 boys in its high school and all kids are required to excel academically. The grade point average on the basketball team is about 3.5.....They currently have a kid who started alot this year but is playing very little because his grades were down. When you watch JBS play probably every kid you see play will graduate from college somewhere with most being from academic not athletic scholarships. But if it makes you feel good to celebrate when these young kids lose then go ahead and celebrate...
