  1. The first game of pool play will be a fun game. Derek Smith 17's vs Shining Star 17's. A lot of talented players will be on the court for this one.
  2. I love Robbie Stenzels game. He is a fantastic player. The player in that class that everyone will need to watch is Scott Schuette of Lexington Catholic. He is playing with Shining Star Sports 15u team. In my opinion is one of the top players in his class. He is an amazing scorer and a very pure shooter. In his first game back from an ankle injury he had 25 points against 43 Hoops. Everyone will get an opportunity to see him play at the state tourney this weekend. Hopefully he will be back to full speed.
  3. I was told this weekend that Ge'lawn was going to be playing for the G' Town (Scott County) Stars in the state tournament. The team was going to include Dakotha Euton, Chad Jackson, Ge'lawn and Austin Flannery. Does anyone know who else will be playing with this team?
  4. 7. Last years winners: 17u Shining Star Sports 16u Charlotte Court 15u OBC Patriots
  8. The Shining Star Sports-McCord team finished 6-0 at the Cincinnati Royals Super Regional this past weekend. The team consists of a number of Northern Kentucky freshman. With their first place finish they receive an automatic bid to the AAU Division I Nationals. The team is coached by Kyle McCord who graduated and played at Scott High School for Brad Carr. He is now playing at Mount St. Joe's. The players: Kellen Smith Scott High School Jacob Flesch Conner High School Joey Allen Holy Cross High School Tyler Hodges Conner High School Clay Robinson Conner High School Alex Connelly Covington Catholic High School Bobby Stauffer Ryle High School Matt Trammel Dixie High School Jake Thelen Covington Catholic High Todd Vollet Ryle High School Austin Baldwin Simon Kenton High School You can find stats on their website: http://www.hometeamsonline.com/teams/default.asp?s=basketball&u=SHININGSTARSPORTS&p=home&t=c
  9. They will be the Jaguars. There team colors will be Souther Cal's colors.
  10. I would be very suprised if Maile plays basketball next year. Baseball is his meal ticket and I would assume he will take the time to focus on baseball.
  11. My sleeper for next year would be Tate Nichols. Tate plays at Ryle and sat out most of this year with a foot injury. He has been cleared to play AAU this summer. He is a beast of an individual. He is now 6'7" and 235 pounds. He has great footwork and can run the floor pretty well. He played wide receiver on the football team last year.
  12. He is a 6'4" wing player that played with Shining Star Sports over the summer. His team won the 17u state championship. He is going to VMI to play. He became the all time leading scorer at Tates Creek High School this year.
  13. The Cov Cath student section was asking "Arrez give us a sign" like they do at New York Yankee games. When he finally turned and looked at them ,they cheered him. They were not telling Arrez "You suck"
  14. Simpson did play. The first game that he missed was the Boone County game. Simpson and McGraw both played in the Cov Cath game.
  15. NewCath beat CCH in the championship.
  16. Cov Cath has won 7 in a row, how are they not playing well at the end of the year?
  17. According to the scoreboard. Anyone have any details? Very suprised by this score.
  18. Why would he be to good for Northern? The talent level at Northern Kentucky is very good right now and will only get better with the opening of the new arena. They have a number of D-1 players on the roster. I think that he would be a very good fit at NKU.
  19. Grant Pangallo played a fantastic game last night. Played all but a few seconds. He handled the Holmes pressure very, very well. Anyone that feels there is a better point guard on the NCC team is mistaken. Congrats Grant on a fantastic ballgame!
  20. They have tryout dates listed on the site.
  21. On their website: http://www.hometeamsonline.com/teams/default.asp?u=SHININGSTARSPORTS&sport=basketball&t=c&p=home&s=basketball Some of the teams have already listed some players.
