McLeish and Zumdick are both great players but I don't see them on the top ten list. I see other players on that list that in my mind are ahead of them. But overall, pretty solid list.

Mitch McLeish was the most impressive player I saw on Ryle all year long. He just kept getting better and better. He's a deadly 3pt shooter and plays defense very well. I would love to coach this kid.

No particular order. My top 10 is in bold.

Wow, 5 Boone Co. players and 3 St. Henry boys.

I like all the kids you mentioned but you left off a kid from Newport who could possibly be one of the most improved in the 9th Region next season and that is the McDaniel kid. He has a lot of upside and is 6'4 while only going to be a Jr.Not to mention George Grote will average double digits and be one of the best defenders in the 9th next season.

Maybe not top 10, but you also might add Avery (Conner), Coleman (Ryle), and Greene (Newport) somewhere in the list.

Top 10

1. Ricardo Johnson (Holmes)

2. Luke Maile (CCH)

3. Jeremiah Johnson (Holmes)

4. Mitch Shover (CCH)

5. Andy Earls (Boone)

6. Steven Kowolonek (Highlands)

7. Elijah Pittman (Holmes)

8. Shina Giwa (Holy Cross)

9. Steven Mcfarland (Boone)

10. Maike Gabbard (Boone)

Jamel Riley of Holmes could crack this list before the end of the season though. He will be the best PURE pg next year in nky.

I wouldn't put Maile at 2. I would move Kowolonek down also, IMO Mcfarland, Pittman, and Giwa would be ahead of him

My sleeper for next year would be Tate Nichols. Tate plays at Ryle and sat out most of this year with a foot injury. He has been cleared to play AAU this summer. He is a beast of an individual. He is now 6'7" and 235 pounds.

He has great footwork and can run the floor pretty well. He played wide receiver on the football team last year.

I wouldn't put Maile at 2. I would move Kowolonek down also, IMO Mcfarland, Pittman, and Giwa would be ahead of him

I would be very suprised if Maile plays basketball next year. Baseball is his meal ticket and I would assume he will take the time to focus on baseball.

Maile will play, I heard the same rumor before this season started. :bunny:

Cameron Speed, though good, is not a top player. Watched him against Villa and Cov Cath in the regionals and i would put Zumdick ahead of him.

Those were his worst two games of the season. He is the only NKY player in the top 25 free throw shooters. Zumdick is very good. Very underrated.
