I was a little disappointed in the way JC started last night. Paintsville was much more ready for this game than we were. JC came out very flat. Paintsville slapped them in the mouth the second they took the field by disrupting their entrance and stomping on the big eagle at midfield. You would have thought that would have gotten them a little fired up, but Paintsville looked very good the first quarter. They were just wore down by the bigger team. I must be part of the minority but I don't think paintsville is going to loose the rest of their regular season games. They are better than people are giving them credit for.
Depends on the kid Johnson Central has a 8th grader who is 6ft4 and throws in the lower 80's. It was dangerous for him to throw against some middle school players. If you have a kid that big who throws that hard why stunt his development? If you are worried about a REAL injury, worry about the 5ft3 85lb. 6th or 7th grader who has to face these physicaly developed young men.
I would also like to congradulate Justin. He is one of the hardest working young men on the baseball field I have ever met. He also conducts himself on and off the field the way a young man should. His older brother Adam is the same way,and younger brother Seth is a preatty good boy when his eyes are closed (j/k). Mom and Dad have alot to be prouf of.
I also watched the game and they T'd him up for throwing the ball in the stands. He threw himself a lob off the backboard from about 35 feet, dunked it then threw the ball in the stands. Great play classless act. IMO
JC has some shoes to fill, but has a lot of talent coming back from a regional championship team. No disrespect to last seasons team, but I think they will be better next season. I'm not saying they will go any further because I feel like they will have to improve their passing game to go any further. The personell is there for JC to be very good for the forseable future.
The ones that I think have a chance, from JC- Tackett, Johnson, Grim, from Ashland- Mcdavid, from Bell- Slusher, from Rock-Miller, Durham. These are the ones I think have a chance hopefully region four will get a few to represent us.
