Final. :ylsuper:  :dancingpa:dancingpa

.

Paintsville scores first and last with a lot of Central scores in the middle. The Tigers hung for a bit, but the Eagles had them outnumbered and outgunned.

:bunny:

There was a great crowd tonight (not as big as the 2005 apple bowl) but still a great crowd. I'd say app. 5,000 to 6,000 people.

Johnson Central gave up a td pass early in the 1st quarter and a td w/ a 2 pt. conversion against the freshman squad. Other than that, JC dominated this game.

I'll confirm...the final score should be 49-14.

49-(14 or 15?)

So that makes the all-time record 20-14 w/ Paintsville still leading.... BUT give Johnson Central 7 more years and they'll have the lead!

Okay. Just wanted to make sure.

This is the 1st time EVER that the seniors from JC beat Paintsville all 4 years.

JC had the 2nd string in the game near the middle of the 3rd quarter and the freshman played the majority of the 4th quarter.

I know there was more bgp'ers there tonight than just me.

I was there for the first quarter and half the second quarter. But it was over then so i came home and watched Kentucky beat themselves.:creepy:

It always feels great to walk around on apple day wearing the black and gold with pride!

Matney has taken all the fun out of this rivalry. It is time to pull the plug on the Apple Bowl and let both teams schedule somebody that they can compete with. I am glad that I stayed home and watched the 'Cats. At least the game was not out of reach before the second half started.
