Apollo 2 Heath 1

Final and excellent season Heath, congratulations Apollo.

Anybody know why the pitcher from Heath was limping badly the whole game, he pitched a gutty game as he was obviously in pain.

Great 1st round game by both teams.

I believe he turned his ankle while batting in the first.

He actually got hurt walking to the plate. Maybe coming out of the dugout, which is inset below the field. It was sort of a freak injury, but he pitched really well, even hurt.

I was very impressed with both of these teams. They were very professional and very well schooled. Defensively, they were terrific; there were two or three plays that kids in Omaha couldn't make. It was a great game to watch.

Webb hurt his foot on the next to last pitch of the first inning, but no one outside the Heath dugout noticed it until he came to bat in the bottom half of the inning.

Well I didn't see it either. I had no idea what the deal was. It seemed like we waited forever between the second and third batter in the inning!

The Webb kid looked like he is an outstanding pitcher, especially in that first inning. I would rate him above the Dunbar pitchers. The kid pitching for Apollo is a true pitcher.....Not outstanding speed but flat out knows how to pitch.
