I know Brad Bryant from Pikeville is playing.

Pikeville raised half the money for theyre field and Pikeville college coughed up the other half.

I was under the impression that Raceland had lost alot but according to this theyre going to win state.

No theyre not and that a good thing IMO. Alot of folks have complained about the 6 class realignment system but since 2 teams dropped out of our district weve been able to schedule better opponents becuase of it.

I was told we were scrimmaging Shleby Valley at home when the boys get back from camp but I havent got any confirmation on that with the coaches.

NCC will win district 6 and Prestonsburg will win district 7.

An even better scenario. If Pikeville goes in 1a, Prestonsburg or Breathitt in 2a, Belfry in 3a, Bell Co. in 4a, Johnson Central in 5a. Youd have ALL of eastern KY at Louisville. That would be awesome!!!!:thumb:

Id love to see Pikeville and Belfry both at the "The Big Slice" next year. Both of us would have a home game IMO if that were the case.

Practice looked good last night. Had about 45 kids out.

Pikevilles district is kindve weak. But our non district schedule is KILLER! Louisville Holy Cross-Very good 1a school Ashland-5a traditional power LexCath-...enough said Belfry-Big Rivalry game Prestonsburg-if this is your weakest non-district opponent then youve got a tough schedule.

The other local teams shouldnt be in the PCB at all. Community Trust Bank and WYMT have forever cheapened this once great and proud bowl game by introduding this little league mentality(every kid gets a trophy). These schools get the proceeds from what the PCB produces anyway. I wish no disrespect to any of the teams Im about to mention but anytime you beat Phelps,Pike Central,Shelby Valley or East Ridge you shouldnt get a trophy at the end of the game. I dont know, maybe Im just "old school". LOL!!!!

Yeah Ill be watching both late games for sure. Should be 2 good ones. I think the bowl selection commitee got it right this time.

Also if youre going all time theres Hall of Famer and Heisman winner Paul Hornung and Dermonti Dawson who played for my Steelers. He should be in the HOF. In 09 you can add Andre Woodson,Keenan Burton,and Jacob Tammeto that list. We may also have the #1 pick in Brian Brohm as well.

The days of Adolph Rupp running Bear Bryant out of town are over. Football has grown in popularity beyond the trditional b-ball establishments control. The only folks who think KY is still a "Basketball" state are the ones who dont live here. Aside from UK. People could care less about B-ball in this state anymore. With UL becoming a power and UK finally on the right track, plus WKU going D1 and EKU and Georgetown being the consistent winners they are year in and year out. Kentucky is well on its way to being known more for its football. Just imagine what this place would be like now if "The Bear" wouldve stayed.

Ive been hearing some persistent rumors that Dustin May is looking to transfer. Is this true? Souded a little crazy to me but this is a crazy world we live in.

At Pikeville it seems the local refs who arent from Pikeville hate us and hold it against us cause we beat him 30 years ago. Or they are from Pikeville and call everything they can against us out of fear of being biased. We dont want refs to give us calls we dont deserve but at least call the game fairly down the middle and not worry about what everyone thinks.

I know one of them is at Mount Sterling and the other at Pikeville but I cant remember who the teams are that were playing. If Im not mistaken I think the one at Pikeville will the be a gridorama with 4 teams and each playing the other like last year. We should be having a booster club meeting here soon so maybe Ill know more by then.

Everyone said the Henry Clay game would be over at halftime last year and we played them tough till the end of the 3rd quarter when Mayo went down. Only 2 teams held HC under 35 points last year and Pikeville was one of them. Besides its all about getting better for playoff time.

These are all extremely tough games but IMO all of them are winable.

Pikevilles Schedule is missing 2 games. Oct 5 @ South Floyd Oct 12 Prestonsburg at Pikeville.\ Also they show the Pike Co. Bowl game against Lou. Holy Cross on Aug. 25 @ Belfry. The date is right but the game is @ Pikeville.
