  1. Thanks Birdman, good information.
  2. This one gets ugly early. I agree, no winless team should be in the playoffs, period. The only good thing that's coming out of this is the gate Boyle County receives because of home game. This will probably be minimal, because of the lackluster of such a one sided matchup. I hear this is only the 3rd year Pendleton has even had a football team, and they dress out less than 20 kids. Is this true, does anyone know? I just pray for no injuries to either team. Go Rebels! Boyle 56 Pendleton 6 with coach French showing much mercy. Starting the game with a running clock is probably a good idea.
  3. I'll say Scott in a close one.
  4. Trinity should win this one pretty easily, but it may be closer than you think. Trinity 35-7.
  5. I agree, Highlands shouldn't have been able to play in the Championship game in 2004 after having all previous wins that year forfeited. However, I am a bit biased, that team did end our streak of 5 straight State Championships. We have gotten over it though, we are hoping to start a new streak this year. It sure didn't seem fair at the time, and it still doesn't.:irked:
  6. Congratulatios Rebels on a dominant season. I saw most home games and I didn't see anyone come within 30 points of us. Great job, and I look forward to the next few years watching you guys. Has anyone heard if the kid from Rockcastle they took off in the ambulance is okay. I hope so, I never like to see "any" injuries to any player.
  7. I'm not taking anything for granted, you do agree that Boyle County has as good a chance as anyone in 4A, don't you. :walk:
  8. Can't be anyone in their right mind.
  9. Boyle County hosts Pendleton County in first round of playoffs.
  10. Congratulations to the Golden Lions, looks like we will have them in the first round of the playoffs.
  11. Good job Rebels, I didn't realize so many games had been cancelled can anyone tell me why they were candcelled? I have heard a lot of fantastic things about Hester at QB, hope he continues to play QB throughout his high school career. I hear he prefers defense where he plays linebacker..
  12. Congratulations to the Knights...I'm sure we'll be seeing each other again in a few weeks.
  13. Nice job by or defense and special teams. Good job Rebels... I must say though our passing game is starting to concern me a bit, I haven't seen any improvement in weeks. Keep that train rolling Rebs....
  14. Just as I predicted.. Congratulations to Highlands.
  15. I don't know what round they will be put out, but I can't see this team bringing home the hardware this year. Their bad habit of falling behind early and then trying to turn it on later will bite them in the butt just like it did against Frankfort Friday night. I'm pulling for you Ads, but you are going to have to dig deep within if you want a championship, and put team ahead of indivfidual stats for that to happen. I would love to see both Boyle and Danville win State and make this Titletown once again.
  16. I don't see either of these 2 things happening this year, definitely not the Boyle game because it is already in the books. I want to see Danville and Boyle bring home State Championships and make this Title Town once again. Truth be told, Danville was lucky to even be in a position to win this game as they fell behind 21-0. These slow starts is what's going to be the end of Danville's season. And why shouldn't Danville care bout this game with it being the last game of the regular season and you'd think you would want to gather all the momentum you can going into the playoffs.
  17. Mercer was terrible on 3rd and 4th down conversion attempts. Congratulations to the Rockets on a nice win.
  18. Boyle county by 5-6 touchdowns and a running clock. I hope to see Boyle County work some of their problems with the passing game out. I don't know what has happened with our passing game, but it hasn't improved at all in my opinion since week 2. This is quite concerning to me, as our defense should be expected to stop other teams from scoring and not be expected to put points on the board. Although they have done a nice job of doing that. Let's go Rebels, the games are about to get tougher.
  19. I'm sorry Paul, Lexington Catholic ended our season 41-12 in the second round of playoffs. Don't know what I was thinking. Thanks for the correction
  20. Yeah, but didn't we lose to Southwestern in the 2nd round of playoffs too?
  21. Congratulations to the Maroons, this was a high scoring game.
  22. Nice job Hounds. I would like to see a potential Corbin-Danville Matchup in the playoffs.
  23. Congratulations to Trinity, you look to be on a collision course with St. X..
