Question is can Trinity get a OL to gel before week four of the playoffs.

In no way do I think Lafayette has a chance, however I would like to see Lafayette play some stingy defense instead of imploding like most Fayette schools do against Trinity. By stingy I mean maybe hold Trinity to 35 and make them work for thier points.

Why exactly do the top teams from Lexington "imoplode" against us? Even some very talented Henry Clay squads that should have kept games close in recent years have seriously stumbled when playing us.

Speaking for Henry Clay, it is because are not able to defend a balanced attack like Trinity. Specifically, a passing team is Henry Clay's nightmare. Nobody on the Blue Devil's schedule exposes this weakness until Trinity week in the playoffs each year.

 

I honestly feel that Trinity's offense could score every possession against Henry Clay's defense the last two meetings. In 2005, that Trinity edition was not able to score every possession, but certainly enough (41 points).

 

Trinity won't score 50 on Henry Clay this year.

Trinity will continue their dominance of Lexington schools in this week's game.

According to Mike Fields, the High School beat writer for the Herald Leader, Lexington has no answers for St. X or Trinity.
