Could there be some upsets in the District games? The 35th District has a couple of nice Match-ups!

I have seen games where the players have dove, wrestled, and threw elbows. But they shake hands after the game. So why would'nt it be demanded by all Athletic Directors for the Head coaches to shake hands.

As a coach, would'nt you want to teach Sportsmanship??

Dixie Heights, Ryle, or New Cath could make a run for it. Anyone could get upset!!

Look for Willie and Bluebirds in the Upset! Highlands much deeper, better coached, and more physical. The one weakness PC has is, no depth. Highlands needs to contain Maines, by putting fresh men on him, also they need to take the ball to Belcher, he will get in foul trouble early. Its really going to be a battle between Guidugli and Elliot. No disrepect to either team, They both have great programs and coaches and they will represent the 9th and 10th Region down State

In Kentucky High School Basketball after the dust has cleared and the contest is over, should the leaders of the programs Shake Hands. I think so! Your Thoughts!

I think so. After all the years of watching 9th Region Highschool Basketball, I really can't remember the Region being so wide open. Does anyone agree??? Your Thoughts!

I attended the Npt/Brossart game last night. I really enjoyed seeing a hard fought battle by both teams. It was one of the most physical games I have seen all year. But after all the hussle, diving and extra effort the players just kept playing and showing good sportsmanship. The one thing that I could'nt understand was, Why did'nt the Bishop Brossart Head coach shake hands with Newport's team and Coaching staff???

Who won the seasonal match-up between Cov Cath/ Highlands?

By the way Bellevue is playing, and with the Tigers having home court advantage, I hope Willie and the Bluebirds don't overlook the "Old Black and Gold". (Good Luck Both Teams!!!).

Thank you DMZ, I was fortunate enough to get to attend the Young Bluebird-Thoroughbred match-up. Needless to say I really enjoyed seeing some of the up and coming stars from both schools. Great atmosphere for the Freshman to end up their season before going on to the varsity level. For NCC, I was impressed with the Olberding boy, big and physical, dribbles well and can shoot. The point guard, little Michael Gish is very quick and handles the ball very good. For the Bluebirds Messer and Fair played good, I felt Tony Guidugli played a good physical game (6 points and 7 rebounds). Though it looks as if JC plays like the "BEAST" that he is, the Birds just might win them a 9th Regional Freshman Basketball Title!! If anyone gets a chance to see this youngman perform, you are in for a real treat. He can do it all, shoot the lights out from the inside and outside, rebounds with the best of them, great on "D", and in the 4th period of tonight's game, he went to point guard because he handles the ball and shoots FT so well. Great Game and Win for the Birds, Good Luck Wednesday Night!!!

Look for Josh Conner to take things in his own hands, for the Bluebirds. I've watch the youngman play Basketball in the "Ole Knights Days", at the Boy's Club. He always plays best in the big games. He's a just a Winner!!! (Good Luck Both Teams).

I have seen the " The Big Ole Mountain Man", Pat Elliott play Basketball and football. What a great athlete 6'4" 240lbs, quick feet, shoots the ball very, tough down inside, with great moves. He is one of the better players in the State. BTW he plays Tight End for the Wildcats and should have a good year this coming fall.
