Scott County, Holmes, or Leslie County can these teams beat South Laurel??

Ross Neltner from the Highlands Bluebirds had a good high school career, and then I think he went to LSU?

Highlands 8th Grade Boys team really looked tough, they are big, quick, and can shoot the lights out. They should do very well in the Tournament and I guess Coach Schlarman would have to feel good about his future Bluebirds!!

Justin Doleman was tough for Ryle.

IMO South Laurel should be ranked!!!

Hey bballfanky, Sounds like a competative league out at the new S.O.A.S., what a nice place for these youngmen to play. Is there any other good teams in that Division that the Boone County Rebels have not played yet???

Newport-vs-Lloyd, Monday night at Newport. Big rivalry carrying over from (AA) Football.

I agree, But no matter what, the Bluebirds-vs-Wildcats Tuesday night. There's alot of talent on both teams and most of the youngmen are friends or know each other. Win or Lose it will be a great night for Boys 8th Grade Basketball.

But they were all, great individual athletes, they had to be or they would'nt have won the "Sweet Sixteen".

No, but they are the only "TEAM" from the 9th Region, to ever win the State Championship!!! and I really just wanted to give these athletes some credit!!! Do you think they deserve it???

When Cov Cath gets healthy can they beat Holmes???

Simon Kenton 1981 State Championship Team- Greg Ponzer, Alan Mullins, Dixon, and of course the Regional MVP Troy McKinley. I think they beat Mason County in the "Sweet Sixteen" Championship game that year, that had Alan Feldhaus and Middleton.

I had heard, That the Bluebirds 7th grade team, Beat these same boys by 20 points last year. If so, maybe that's why the Wildcats are bringing their All-Star 8th Grader!!!!

Tuesday night at Newport middle school at 7:30. The Fort Thomas Highlands Bluebirds 8th graders, will go at it against the Wildcats and guess who the Wildcats will have that's right one of the top 25 8th Graders in the state Arkansas "The ARK" Brewer, it's going to be a good one.

The difference will be the coaching, because it seems that Beechwood is so one Demensional!!! Cov cath will probably pull it out!

It just seems to me, like Newport should be better than what they're playing. They have plenty of talent, IMO I think they can match up with anyone in the region.

Richie Farmer won a state championship for Clay County. Now, Richie could really shoot for a High Schooler, and of course he went on and played for U.K.!!!

I do remember Heathie "Herkey" White, I coached him in the old boys club league. I wished he would have stayed at Newport, But the Wildcats are never going to keep great players of his caliber if they don't get them a Coach or a Coach that the youngmen want to play for.

Beechwood beat a 7-0 Morgan County, that would have to move them up!!!
