Undefeated Cov Cath

I believe it is also undefeated CovCath... :thumb:

The 3 teams you mentioned are definitely the top tier of teams. As i stated ealier this season Highlands will be the sleeper, and will beat a lot of teams this year, building on last year's results. CCH and Holmes are still interchangably the best 2 by far.

Right now a lot of people are hopping on the CCH wagon because of their impressive record, with wins over very good teams such as Lefayette (top 15) and Dunbar (usually an 11th powerhouse, but a little down this year). CovCath is gelling nicely right now moving the ball extremely well, but seems to lack a real inside offensive presence, which could hurt them later.

Holmes' losses are to very good opponents (ie Pendleton County - in the hunt for state glory) and Scott County who is in the same catagory as Pendleton. With a big win over Boyd and a game coming up against Ballard, we will see how they do against another of the state's top teams.

Highlands has good guard play with Vories up top who is a very dangerous player and Big Ben down low establishing himself as a top 5 9th region big man. While Highlands lacks big quality wins, they are still 3-0 in region play over St. Henry, Boone Co, and a solid Newport team. They are finding themselves among the regions top teams all of a sudden and could make a name for themselves if they post a good result in an upcoming match against E'town.

Holmes and CCH appear to be the cream of the crop. I'll take Holmes since they are a more experienced varsity group. Should be a good matchup with the blue Colonels.

1. Holmes

2. CCH

3. HHS

4. NCC (maybe not today but by year end)

5. Everyone else

I like your top three, but I'd slide the apparently unloved Holy Cross into #4, based on the year-to-date results. I also think Holmes and CCH are 1 & 1A, at least until they play!!

My vote for NC was where I think they will end up vs where they are today. Obviously, football has set them back.

Got ya on that one, and time will tell. Where's their points going to come from when they play someone with a center to guard Kiernan? Krebs was a big loss!!

They've got the shooters. Heil, Gesenhues, etc.

I think NCC is going to be a good team, but its kind of silly to predict where there going to finish, without any proof of it so far.

What about the Beuter boy he can shoot the lights out of it. Look for the Thoroughbreds to be right there because they have the best big man in Keirnan boy in the region!!!

Here's the proof: They've got a big strong kid in the middle that can score and they've got a bunch of solid shooters.

If you remember (in your former life), I also said that Jacobs would be a better ballplayer than Edmondson. You, on the other hand, said how can that be because Jacobs is not playing varsity like Edmondson. Who was right on that one?

YOu are right on that, you also said Bibbins would never play at NKU. Who was right on that? But we will never know what Edmonson could have been, because he role has been limited because of a very talented team. If Jacobs played on this Holmes teams I guarntee he wouldn't be averaging 21 pts a game. Wouldn't have to or need to.

I think NCC will be good. All I'm saying its hard to rank them above HC right now, they haven't had a big win and HC just beat a team in the same week that team beat NCC.

All I'm saying is while I do show an HC bias, you have a tendancy to discredit HC teams also.

I agree that TJ would have a great shot at averaging 21. I didn't know you were such a fan of his.

Hats off to Bibbins. He has exceeded my expectations . Unfortunately, that's more of a comment on the lack of guard play at NKU. Bibbins is a classic D3 PG (and , as I've said before, I'm a fan of the kid).
