I'm not downplaying anything and not sure, what you want Elliott County to do. It's been said, others played. Do you want them to only play the last 5 guys on the roster, in every game they play. They played a team, who pushed the ball up the floor like them and Elliott County was better, in their offensive end than Boyd County. With that said, they also couldn't stop Elliott County defensively, regardless of who was in there. In time, Boyd County will get better but on this night, they were over-matched by the entire team. Should be simple, to understand.

You're fine. Another point, I'll address. We all can debate the score but these young men from Elliott County, have committed themselves to being the best possible team they can. Many, if not all of the starters have played in summer games and through the fall, right up till school started. Playing the best competition, they could find. Of course they will be good and over-match some teams. With that said, this score is a result of Elliott County as a whole team, being very good and Boyd County, striving to get their program where the Lions are now. Give Body County time and good things can happen, with the hard work, dedication and desire, the EC crew has.

Just so I understand, you're saying a team that is good, shouldn't leave their players in, if playing a team that is not equal and are behind? Anytime you have a score like this, it's a direct result of both teams. The ability of one team to score and the inability, of the other team to stop them.

Not sure but I believe, it was either presented or going to be presented for consideration last Fall. Honestly don't know, where it went from there or what entity, had to make the final decision.

Rankings could change nightly, depending upon match-ups. If you visit most preseason rankings and end of season rankings, they usually change considerably. I believe the talent level in Kentucky, is very good, balanced for the top tier programs and spread across this great state. Assembling rankings is never easy, an exact science and I admire, those who undertake this endeavor.

Coach Dawson, does an excellent job with South Charleston. They play hard, full court and for the entire game. They usually have a lot of quickness and athleticism. Has the potential, to be a very entertaining game.

These young men from Elliott, like many others across this great state, put a lot of time in together in practicing and preparing to excel. I believe they understand their abilities, strengths and weaknesses, better than most teams I've had the pleasure to watch. These young men, have worked not only in conditioning and strength, but like many others in our state, toward their Basketball abilities. They may not realize it now but they've inspired many young kids, to strive for being the best, they can possibly be. Elliott was better than Boyd tonight and they will be a tough match-up, during the year for many. Ferg, keep playing well but lose the beard....

Ratings are always subjective to those, whom are ranking them and the teams which they have seen. Often national rankings, will be a result of the Players which are being highly touted and programs, which have sustained excellence. On any given day, you could have many of the top KY teams, competing and defeating those which are Nationally ranked and vice-versa. As for why, many times teams from out of state, contact you with regards of playing in Kentucky. Invites to tournaments and match-ups, are important also.

If we did Baseball in classes, what would be the format for the Districts, Regional, Sectionals and State. Would double-elimination be in order for District. What about best 2 out of 3 in finals of Regionals and Sectionals. How many teams, would qualify for the State?
