I feel like Clark Co isn't that much better than the rest of the teams in the 10th after tonights game. (I know they played a top team in the state) I really think Mason Co will give GRC everything they want.

Guess were 2nd guessing Clark as one of the top teams in state now?

But not very well, Scott Co. defense played him well, also looked like he was trying to press too much and got trapped several times dribbling into double teams. Rogers looked pretty good though, he tried to pick up his teammates.

I think Clark Co will get better. I thought they just tried to force the issue to much tonight. Watching the game I thought Stenzel tried to force some shots.

Clark Co. shot 37% tonight to Scott Co.'s 50%. Turnovers were just about even, I think 15 for GRC and 12 for Scott Co.

It looks like SC found it against the young GRC team. I'm surprised by the score, but SC was due to breakout. And GRC couldn't make free throws early. At the end of the day SC size was too much. [iMO] This GRC team will be scary at the end of the year. Still young right now, but better days ahead. Congrats SC !!!

Clark is really young with the heart and soul of the team sophomores. Their ranking in BGP at #16 is about right. They will move up as those sophomores get closer to being juniors. The pre-season hype that had them at #4 or #5 was a little too much to expect so quick. They may sneak back into the Top 10, but not until mid-Feb or so.

 

Comparitive scores for those who like them. They don't really mean alot to be honest, but a few weeks ago Elliott beat GRC by 21 and tonight Scott beats them by 20. Kinda things that makes one go hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm........

Coaches key on great players and try to slow them down. Coaching 101! Robbie was part of Hick's game plan I am sure. One of the reasons G luyn fouled out he was tasked with stopping Stenzel and he for the most part He did but it cost him an early seat on the bench and a low point total. Mason county is no where near the team Scott county is , don't think Mason will be able to beat these Cards now or in March, we'll see! Cards are a year away in my opinion but these are sophomores. By the time they are seniors it will be GRC dominating teams!

Since my questioned didnt get answered in the updates thread, Ill ask again. Did Cory Rogers (sp?) transfer to GRC or has he played there his entire high school career? He is a good player and was tough for SC to stop.
