Does everyone charge $5 admission to varsity basketball games? My school does, and I am curious if a lesser admission cost would increase attendance. Any thoughts?

Its $4 at Somerset games.

It's been 4 dollars at Mason County's first two home games, I'm guessing it might go up to 5 for the game against Catholic.

5 for adults at Covington Catholic and 3 for students. Lesser charge for students is a little more incentive to come to the game. I don't think a fourth, maybe more, of the students at Cov Cath would come if it were raised to $5 to get in to see a game.

I think it is too high for students if it is more than $1.00. Student section with 20 students at $5.00= $100.00 or 100 students at $1.00=$100.00. Which makes the bigger impact and creates more school spirit? Plus the 100 students will buy more from the concession stands.

Absolutely! Getting more students out to support the school should be the goal...not quick cash.

Students should get in free.

Especially elementary age children.

They bring paying adults to the games.

I agree with letting elementary kids in free. Charge the high school and middle school students a dollar.But I will disagree with your statement that they bring paying adults to the games. Alot of parents drop their kids off and pick them up after the games.

I meant that specifically about elementary aged.

Yes, MS and HS is dropped off.

 

We used to have the elementary school choruses sing the national anthem. Kids in free, parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles who came to watch, paid.

We recognized elementary, MS and HS students that earned distinguished on CATS test. Kids in free. Parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles who came to watch, paid.

We had the elementary teams introduced and played at 1/2time. Kids in free. Parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles who came to watch, paid.

Adults-$5, students-$3

I have no clue what GRC charges. When I was teaching there I got in free. When I retired they gave me a "Spirit Card" Which gets me into any game....free. They know what a suportor I am....

Admission has been $5 for adults for quite some time. I believe it's $3 for students.

At Campbell County it is $5 for both adults and students. With that said they have a camel card that a student can buy for $40 and it is good for the whole school year and I think the adults are $70.

 

People say that if you lower the game ticket prices for students you will get more students. At CC that just does not happen. Last year they sold tickets to a big game for $2 and they sold a total of 15 student tickets.

 

For freshman games (even when there is a triple header basketball game) tickets are $3 for adults and $2 for students.

 

Forgot to mention (hence the edit) that if you have a family of 3 - 6 people it is a total of $15 to get in and I think that is for all varsity games at Campbell County.

Augusta-$3 for both students and adults.
