What is everybody's predictions on this game? JBS is coming off a tough loss to Hazard while Jackson is coming off a big win against Estill. However, I still think the Crusaders will be too much for the Tigers in this one. JBS by 15+.

I saw Neely play while he was at Owsley County and I was very impressed every time I watched this kid play. He has great vision and can shoot from anywhere. I'm glad to hear he is doing well.

I would say one these four teams will win the region: JBS, Hazard, Breathitt, and Perry Central. But Powell, Lee, Buckhorn, and Cordia all have outside shots as well.

I would say Hazard is the favorite right now, but this region is so wide open that the rankings change almost every week.

I don't think they rely completely on Davidson as you think. Granted he is probably their best player and the most underrated player in the region, but I'm pretty sure that their center Zach Lusk and their other guard, Michael Watkins have contributed a lot as well. Every time I see Jackson's stat line in the paper, Lusk and Watkins usually have about 13-16 points a piece. Davidson scoring a lot does help their chances of winning, but he doesn't have to dominate in order for Jackson to get a W. Anyway, my top ten would be: 1. Hazard 2. JBS 3. Lee Co. 4. PCC 5. Jackson City 6. Powell 7. Breathitt Co. 8. Letcher Central 9. Estill 10. Cordia

PCC by about 8. Hazard is struggling right now, and I see PCC giving Hicks some problems, but he will still have a good game. He's really the only one that has been a consistent scorer and in order for Hazard to win they are going to have to have somebody else step up.

I wonder if its as tough as Estill? :lol: Just a little humor there UpnDown, but congrats to Jackson City on a good performance and congrats to the Bobcats as well. At the beginning of the year I figured Jackson wouldn't even be the favorite in their district, but again they have proved everyone wrong. The Tigers might not only be the best team in their district, but one of the tops in the region as well.

I jumped on the bandwagon for this team last year, Jackson City, and they are the most underrated team this year (but Estill is a close second). I say the most underrated players would be, Davidson-Jackson City, Blank-Buchorn, and Berryman and Christopher from Estill.

Looks like the Owls are down this year, but if they only have one senior this year they have the future to look foward to.

I agree 100%. But if JCity does give Lee problems with their press, watch out for an upset.

Agreed on all three, but I think one of the most underrate defenses these past year two years was Jackson City's. I watched them play JBS when they were in the 55th district a few years ago, and they held Stepp to single digits. Last year, their defense was even better (besides the last game against Hazard). Their press was pretty impressive to me, they just got after it every time.

He'll get his touch back. I've seen him play and he can shoot the rock.

I say Buckhorn by about 20, the Owls are down this year.

What a great game! This one was close was the whole time, but JBS knocked free throw downs at the end of the game to pull away. I don't know how many Stepp had, but he played a great game, and Cox played good as well. I was real impressed with Letcher Central. They were not suppose to be that good this year, but they are one of the best teams in the region. I was real impressed with their point guard, I think his name was Devin Blair. And another player I liked was Hogg, he really kept them in it.

I agree with everybody else that this will be a physical game, but I see Jackson Co. coming out on top.

As much as I am a fan of the 14th, I'd say Mason County wins both of these games.
