Romans had 19 points, dennis had 21 points, pelfrey had 20 points. Overall, powell put up a good fight and even though they lost the game by three points it shows they will be a contender in the 14th region. Some calls could have gone both ways that got powell into foul trouble, but definately a good show at one of the toughest places to win in the region. I would rank Powell second with JBS and Hazard close behind.

Great win for Powell, they seem to be getting the flow of the game back. Hazard just got out played tonight. Powell can be very dangerous in the 14th. They always seem to show up for big games. They will see how they match up against Perry Central next week, and the rankings could possibly be changing in the 14th.

I agree, if berryman or christopher would hit powell pushed the ball and answered. Romans was to much for estill to handle down low, and the 2-2-1 press got estill a little shaken. Powell went with a quicker lineup and I believe they look much better than they have in the past. Powell is well conditioned and it showed against estill last night. Great win for the pirates.

Powell Plays Sat. at estill. After beating Lee at home how do you think the pirates will match up against the engineers.

Powells lineup has changed. Its not the lineup that is important for powell, its their bench. Powell has a deep bench, and they are one of the key factors in powells style of play. And at OBI they did just that. A couple of guys off then bench were in double figures for the pirates.

Tuesday Lee County will match up against Powell. With Lee being the defending 56th district champs and Powell with the same team as last year, who will come out on top? :confused:

This OBI Team was very impressive. There quick, they have good hands, and they push the ball very well. Powell was down for a couple of minutes in the first quarter but after that, OBI never gave up and neither did the Pirates. With Ryan Romans slowly making his way back into the game, Powell and Lee should be an exciting game to watch.
