I would tend to agree but, a coach has no control on the action of the parents. He also is walking a thin line on controlling the emotion of players (assuming they are not clearly out of line). Where the coach screwed up here is allowing his team to push for 100 and the shutout. The other factors are side effects beyond his or her control.

I have no dog in this fight whatsoever. But, are you really taking a shot at a coach for making adjustments for giving his team the best chance to win? I would go further and suggest that if he felt the pressing man to man was his best option, he may not want to show it to Rowan before the regional. Nice win by Rowan, just not sure you wanted to go where you did with the breakdown.

Is this two key players Clark has now lost for the season? When it rains it pours as the saying goes. I feel sorry for Clark, but even more so for the players that miss the season. Not that it's much of a consolation, but at least they will be back to play again. I hope the team can tighten up the belt, and pull through this. I know they are capable.

I believe the name of the opponent will remind them of getting knocked off last year, and give them more focus. Considering it wasnt a situation of a team blatantly running up the score or taunting, I agree there is no revenge motive. You both have points somewhat, which makes me hate you both;)! Justin Moore is the coach at Menifee. Parsons was coaching girls at Frankfort I believe, a couple of years ago. Im not sure where he is now.

It was a very impressive comeback from the Royals!

The finals are Friday, I would assume at approximately 7:45. Im not sure on the time though. They may start later if they do the girls awards before the game.

I totally agree with every paragraph but the last one. I would love to agree with you, because I believe that statewide most homeschooled students are receiving a superior education. However, a fairly large percentage are not held up to public school standards, there is no reasonable policing, and I feel the abuses would increase dramatically with this being passed.

I understand your viewpoint and feel confident that your kids are well educated. However, for the system that I work in this is not usually the case. Frequently, I am asked to give a test to a student joining our school that is coming from homeschool and has supposedly passed a certain class. I give a very basic, general test that any of my students that passed the class should do fine. These students typically do poorly. I would bet the results are similar for others in a low social-economic area. If the KHSAA could put stringent rules on these athletes being tested by the public shcool system periodically, it would be a plus. Im sure a few schools would still manipulate this, however. In this case, I believe fairness to those that want to provide their kids with a better education, must lose to an unsupervised manipulation of the system.
