Raceland opened up the 16th Region All A tournament with a big win over the Lady Royals :ylsuper:. This win puts the Lady Rams at 10-5 on the season.

Congrats to Coach Trimble and the Lady Rams on the win and lets go out and bring a 16th Region "A" championship back to Raceland!

Congratulations to the Lady Rams, they are young, but they are playing well. Good luck to them in the second round.

I want to give coach Trimble a big ol' :thumb::thumb: on the job that he has done this season (and every season for that matter). Raceland is without the services of who imo would had been the best player in the region (Rachel Vanderhoof) and have still pulled together with some good/experienced talent and have brought along some young players that have really contibuted and made a difference.

Raceland is currently at 10-5 with the 3rd best record in the 16th region behind unbeaten Rowan Co.(13-0) and East Carter (12-4). Great job by coach Bob Trimble and the Lady Rams..............this season is far from over girls so stay focused, work hard and play hard in every practice and every game.

GO LADY RAMS!!!

I just checked the KHSAA site and girls schedules and you are correct :thumb:. The Raceland/Bath game is now listeds on the schedule. Tonight at 6pm.

I'm just glad to see Abrams in again after coming off an ACL tear at the end of last season.

comply w/Rule #13

I am also glad that Abrams is getting some playing time. From what I have seen they can use her because one of the big girls is so far out of shape she can only play half the game if she isnt in foul trouble, like she was with Bath County in the All A.

Haley will be a force for the next couple of years. She is old school, on the floor fighting for the ball, getting rebounds and playing strong defense. And, she can score some too. I expect her to be strong next year and a major contributor.

I agree Ram. She is a good girl from a good family and a very strong competitor. I think she will be a force for the Lady Rams in the future.

OK, Big Tee, there are two big girls for Raceland and from your previous remarks I am sure I know which one you are accusing of being out of shape. Perhaps, if this BIG GIRL wasn't spending so much time on the point on the press and taking the ball out of bounds, and then running back down the court to post up, she wouldn't appear out of shape to the novice eye. There is a lot more to basketball than scoring points, and the Big Girl in question does a great deal; assists, steals, intimidating defense. I hope in time Raceland learns to utilize the true athleticism they have.
