West Carter's Von Perry to retire

Featured Replies

I just read where West Carter coach Von Perry announced she is resigning at the end of the easondue to health issues. I pray that she is able to take care of her health issues, and return to coaching if she so desires. She has done a fine job at West Carter replacing the late, great Hop Brown.

Best wishes and prayers from the Lady Viking Nation.

Thoughts and prayers from the Cougar Nation in Morgan Co. as well. Von is an outstanding person and coach and we are all wishing her well. She is top notch.

Prayers from Raceland as well. May God bless this lady and good luck.

Sad to see that she'll have to retire. The people at West Carter have already had too many coach/health issues to deal with. Best of luck to Perry and hopefully her health will improve.

Does anyone know the nature of her illeness? She is a super coach and a great individual. She and Hop were great ambassodors for the basketball program and the community!

I hate to see Coach Perry retire I wish her all the best and hope her health improves.

Will Olive Hill native Scott Tackett leave the Vikings program to return to Coach the Lady Comets. Or Maybe Hops daughter Kandi Brown who is a teacher come back to take over her father's program.

Best wishes from here also!

Coach Perry is a class act. I offer prayers for her and her family and hope to see her back on the sidelines again after this season.
