Ryle benefited from how the playoffs were set up that year. Boone beat Ryle the year they went to the state finals.

Look at Boone's record against Ryle this decade. Hard for anyone to say that Ryle has officially "surpassed" Boone.

This is really this first down year for Boone in awhile. Thompson and company usually are the class of 6A in Northern Kentucky... just didn't have the horses this year.

Have you ever heard of politics at the high school level? I'm certainly not suggesting that is the case here, but you are blind if you think the best players always play no matter what program it is.

Disagree big time on this one. I watched this match-up fairy closely and it was clear who was better.

^Popp didn't play much for the Rebels in the last part of the season.

Gabbard is the best, but will probably need to score more next year with McFarland gone.
