I can't remember anyone saying UK was going to hang #9 this year. Proof? I heard people saying Noel might be better on D but not better overall. I'm sure there may have been a couple but it certainly was not a sentiment that many shared.

Just depends on how you look at it. Lehigh ended a season of a TWO SEED with a national title hope alive, Bobby Morris ended one against a team not good enough to make the tournament that was already over. If you are talking about which team was better then I'm sure you could make an argument either way (Lehigh or RM). But, UK had to go on the road. To say they aren't comparable is a bit much.

Anyone who followed UK and college basketball this season could see this one coming from a mile away. Tough year. This is EASILY an NCAA team with Noel healthy. Glad this year is over.

I do like the guy from USA Today, who has been close to him for months, picking UK. I won't be surprised either way.

Sure it will next year but what about the year after that or the next year? Just because you go to UK doesn't mean you only can stay one or two years. Maybe college is the peak for Alex or Archie but maybe it isn't. You see a lot of raw talent in both (way more so than guys like Jorts or Liggins) and there's no shame in playing 3/4 years in college. Come back, work hard, get an education and see what happens.

If you are a 19 year old kid are you really wired that way? How many college players look like this as a freshman and end up making a nice Pro out of themselves? Me thinks a lot.

If you come back and stay through your junior or even senior year, they could develop into good enough players to last long enough in the NBA.

True. It's funny how many of the same programs are in on the exact same guys at UK but when they all go to UK we are labeled as having a different recruiting philosophy? Give me a break.

Recruit the best players. Period. Seems like the best philosophy to me.
