Go back to the old format. I've watched the new one for four years and it gets more boring every year. The old one worked for 95yrs and wasn't broke so go back to it.

No one from NKY is winning Mr. Basketball any time soon. They don't get enough press from around the state. Hollingsworth will be the overwhelming favorite next year and as long as he stays healthy he wins it going away.

Ben Weyer put on a show and Trinity had no one to stop him. The kid is just a load to deal with on both ends. If the Breds play like this Friday they will march on to the semi's.

I get your point and have seen a mockery before in the past by the people voting for Ervin Stepp for Mr. Basketball in 1980 over Dicky Beal. But I would hope that we still don't have individuals looking at just numbers such as Creech vs Boley, but more so on the competition these two young ladies played against and how did they help their team get better. In that case it's Boley award. But let's see if history will repeat itself.

If she doesn't win it, then the people that are voting are an embarrassment to themselves and basketball in general and should be removed from ever judging anything which requires a basketball IQ because clearly they do not have it.

And that 79-80 team averaged an astonishing 88 points a game without Steve and Nate!! I believe that still stands as the highest per game average in 9th region history

Beal and Briscoe start for sure at guards. Davis, Whatley, and Elmer off the bench. Nate, El, and Ricky on the back line. Nobody could have matched that first 8!!! Nobody!!

I do remember Nate and he was a force. I agree with you that if Nate and Steve had played for Holmes that team could have very well won the state title in 1980 and even possibly gone undefeated too.

You are right. We played against Turpin in the 1978-79 season at Bryan Station. Leroy Bird was also a guard on that 1979-80 Bryan Station team and went on to play at UK.
