WOW I am shocked, thought Owlsey would make a game of it. LCC can play and better watch out for them in the regional.

I think Dixon is one of the best players in the region without a doubt. A class kid with a great winning attitude. A team player all the way. I hope him nothing but the best in the future :jump:

This is a travesty. JBS continues playing a very soft schedule and continues to humiliate these schools. I think this score this late in the season speaks volumes about sportmanship at this school. This is nothing but padding stats and humilating your opposition. Hope to see it paid back to you some day. Go Knott Central This last game was cancelled according to the JBS faithful. Oh well maybe they need the points since Matewan disaapeared. Neeley is back in the fold I have heard for this game. This gives Owsley a preety good chance for the upset. LCC needs to keep going strong going into district play. This makes for a good game. LCC 68 OC 60

Lee may be without the services of two starters the Twins due to a death in thier family. This is a real test for anyone in the 14 th. Lee will need a good game from everyone to pull off the upset.

The problem is you have too many officials that are thin skinned and throw out fans for yelling for thier team. I have witnessed two toss outs and many warnings from the refs. In each instance there was no profanity, abusive or derogatory remarks made at the officials, just yelling things like "thats a bad call, Horrible call, jive me a break". I do not find sny of these satements worthy of an eviction.

I hope he is returning. That rumor had been flying around alot this week.

Danny is a good friend to me and my family. I am sure Danny would do best for his situation. I am sure any offer to improve life for his family would and should be considered. I want Danny to stay in Lee County till he decides to quit coaching. But if he was to recieve a great offer somewhere else I would do nothing but cry and wish him the very best. But don't forget we here at Lee could make his situation better also. Danny is a loyal man and it would take alot to take him from what he has built through alot blood,sweat and tears. The next few years look good and the feeder system is working well, so why leave.

I find it a little odd that JBS doesn't show this game on thier schedule according to Riherds. :confused:

Danny applied for an assistant job. He was already teaching here. He impressed the board with his character. He has had many chances to quit but he stuck it out a testament to his character. We hit the jackpot.

Finding a good young coach is a really tough challenge. Lee got so lucky when we had an opening and Danny wright applied to be an assitant. The board offered him the head coaching job and he said he would try it. Boy I for one am glad he took the challenge. He had many trials and many sleepless nights but he stuck it out and now it feels so good so see him smiling. HARD WORKS PAYS OFF! I feel safe in saying there is no coach in our region who outworks Coach Wright. I know his parents and I know why he never gave up(I know I probably would of). He is a quality man and Coach. Lee won the lottery with Danny.

Thank you for the update, your right he is very intelligent and I hear he has aspirations of becoming a doctor. We should always encourage the kids from our area to pursue lofty goals. It is difficult here in rural Eastern Kentucky to get our kids to reach for the stars. I believe Daniel can make it. It would be a great success story and a great compliment to his community.

Erring on the side of safety, Nothing wrong with that. I have a question and I am not looking to make any body upset. Just would like to know. Did Daniel leave school, I heard he left school for another in NKY. I really liked the young mand always felt he was a Tyson protege. I wish him the best and hoped he stay in school amd change his mind.

Amazing how this program has lived off transfers as of late. If you talk to some Wolf faithful that is the rub and why I rated Wolfe as a hotseat. If you are speaking of Dave Fraley I thought he resigned over at Pulaski for health reasons. I would love to see Dave back in the 14 th if his health is up to it. I know the defense would improve.

Do your reasearch before you post and you won't look bad. I have stated on many posts for the last two years that Stepp is a very good ballplayer and I have rated him in the top 5 up and coming stars. It is some of the coaches that I dislike and I can not name him without being in violation of the rules on this forum. The coach in question crossed the line with some of our young men and I addressed it to the school in a formal complaint and to KHSAA. But the school approved of his behavior. The situation could have gotten completely out of control. From what I hear Some of your kids won't be back next year anyway so be careful about predicting the future. I believe that high school basketball should be for the kids and the adults should well stay adults. If you want the story behind my feeling Please PM me :flame:
