  1. Ask any coach if they would rather play in the 11th or 10th. Grass always looks greener on the other side.
  2. I understand the frustration that some are expressing. But here in the mountains we must accept we have decling population and lower birthrates than historically happened in the rural areas. WE CAN COMPETE THOUGH JUST FIGHT HARDER REMEMBER CARR CREEK. We are a proud people and I know we will rise to the challenge. I love the mountains and thier people. They are the strongest
  3. Yoy are correct about one thing the rest of the region see's thing clear and only the PCC bunch wear rose colored glasses when it comes to the officiating. Everyones knows you need a few extra points just to be even when playing PCC in Hazard. Ask Leslie from last years regional finals. But I don't blame PCC for enjoying it I wish we had such an advantadge in our area. Anyway it is the way it is and the responsability is on each team to beat PCC. So you take the hand you are dealt. Hazard at Hazard. Tough draw.
  4. I would be a little more worried about the district than the regional. But if you make the regional and Lee makes it. I would love to play PCC you have to play everybody to get to Rupp. This year the regional is not in Hazard so everyone else has a little better chance for a fair game. Still got to see who officiates to be sure.
  5. This should be the 2nd most interesting matchup in the 14th opening round of District play. I will stick to my feelings and say the PATS pull this one at home by 6.
  6. It is time to express your thoughts and predictions. The most interesting matchup in the 14th for the opening round. I'll take Hazard at home. To much Hazard for Al Holland to overcome.
  7. Well Spin Man we will see come regional tournament time who steps up and who shrivels back. I don't believe PCC makes it out of district play. They got a tough draw at Hazard. It will be interesting that is for sure.
  8. I agree with your assesment Maniac. It is at Breathitt and I believe Breathitt is playing better as of late. I'll take Breathitt by 7
  9. Some kids will lose in every game and that is something I do not control. So I guess you are right I would rather see JBStepp lose than KCC. :flame:
  10. Again you folks amaze me 1. I am not attcking these kids and I wish you would try and not play the little innocent guy. You know what I am talking about with my posts since our exchange of PM. 2. Since you want to play this way your posts are opposite of your PM. 3. Seems we have more in common than most especially about your coaches. 4. I applaud the mission of JBS in education and believe the way they run the basketball program is in direct opposites of the mission of the school. If you want to call me out that is fine, I will not back down and you will know where I stand. So speak with a single tongue.
  11. Feel free to extress your opinion. This is a public forum
  12. I agree Buckhotn is a contender in my opinion.
  13. I agree. They whipped our butts earlier in the year. So Lee if they make the region won't take them lightly. I liked the way he PATS played against us. :thumb:
  14. I wish you all well against JBS in the districts. They have beaten up on some of the lesser competition. I am pulling for the Pats. You all beat us (Lee Co.) fair and square and I admired the effort put forth by your kids. GO PATS
  15. You might of had a point if they only played each school once. But they knew what Riverside was bringing to the game and they comtinued to humiliate them. The Stepps will all step down when the boys all graduate and they have had wonderful high school careers. JBS will be in the same shape as Riverside and I hope other schools won't do thier kids as they have done kids this year. I wonder what thier namesake June Buchanan would say. Someone dedicated to the underpriveledged, watching the priveledged do this to others.
  16. You know that JBS faithful do not talk about the games or the facts they just ramble on in an fashion that is not understandable. Maybe they want to plead temporary insanity? No wonder Clark Stepp is shooting for 4000 points. I read on the JBS schedule and stats that he has 500 assists already must be counting 7th and 8th grade results.
  17. JBS plays Hazard thursday. any thoughts on this game. My prediction is JBS will not win by 71 points. Stepp will not get 50
  18. Love to hear it . This is a sad state of affairs for JBS. hopefully it will come back to haunt them.
  19. I don,t see no trend here but you can't say the same. Everyone in this region thinks the same about how JBS operates. It is all for the glory of a few, shall we say a private kingdom.
  20. I thought Estill would win this one but I didn,t think it would take a 4th quarter like this one. Whew what a win. I am sure Jackson City is still stunned.
  21. Great win for the Bobcats. My hat is off to the twins who left immediatly after the funeral for thier grandfather and came straight to the gym to get ready ro play. Both of them played well. Kenny Brandenburg scored his 1000 point and was given the game ball. Tyler Rich was recognized for making the Gatorade mountain all star team. We will need this kind of effort to advance in the district next week.
