Don't forget that he is actually a junior in experience though. He has played at the varsity level since he was in 8th grade and started two of those years. And on top of that played with some outstanding players on really good teams.(Preston Knowles and Tristan Jones just to name a couple) And had he not sank two game winning free throws against Scott in the region semis as an 8th grader, GRC never makes it to Rupp.

Honestly, I don't believe he is being put in a position to succeed. They ran the offense through Rogers. To be honest I felt like I was watching UK play, it seemed like Harrelson and Patterson running the high/low(with the same struggles). I really believe that they would be better served running their offense through Vinny and letting Rogers be that weakside monster that he can be. He is a man amongst boys on the glass and he would be even tougher to handle playing off the ball. But don't get me wrong I'm not bashing the coaching. I have a lot of respect for Coach Humphrey and his staff. I just have a different philosophy on how I would run their offense. And like Goldie said we have absolutely got to hit free throws.

GRC will be fine. They lost tonight by 5 points without their best player who is gonna get them 20 plus points on most nights. Mentally it was a good win for Central. I wouldnt put a whole lot of stock in this one though.

Duncanville is #19. Its amazing that 6 of these top 25 teams were in Marshall County over the weekend. 3 of them in the top 10. What a collection of talent.

Even thoughs his numbers were down last week, I have to go with Ryan(you can call me Mr.) Williams. 187 yards on 27 carries and 4 tds. It feels really weird saying his numbers were down.

Thats really not that uncommon. Alot of teams play their upperclassmen that don't get pt in the varisty games in jv games. It gives them a chance to play when the would not otherwise.

Honestly I would have preferred that in a way, because I'd rather have Mr. WIlliams running it in from the 3 vs our backup kicker trying a pat. It worked out though.

I was checking the stats out as you were typing I guess. Ryan Williams 729 yds on 65 carries 243 yds per game with 8 tds.

237 yds to go with those 4 tds. In 3 games 711 tds and 8 tds.

Ryan Williams at Clark County(AKA GRC) is an absolute beast and should at least be in the conversation. Through the first two weeks he has 474 yds rushing on 40 carries and 4 tds. He's averaging 11.8 yds a carry.

Sorry I didnt post this earlier. Had a little trouble with my computer. But a guy that I think you guys should watch out for is Ryan Williams(5'9 170lb Sr.)at Clark County. Last week against Harrison County he rushed 17 times for 229 yds and 2 tds. He had 13 carries and 199 yds in the first half(only played one drive in the 2nd half. He also had 23 carries for 245 yds and 2 tds against Montgomery County the previous week. Anybody in the Lexington area should come out and watch GRC play Creek tommorrow.

No, he was an assistant, which is exactly what he should be right now. I played for coach Columbia and think he is a great person. He knows the game of football, but cannot manage a whole team. No disrespect to PC but the run in 06 occured because our team (especially the seniors) was just that much better than the opposition. And if you look back at their losses play calling played an enormous role in those games. That being said, I have been telling guys on our team for years that no matter what play is called, they still have to go out and execute it. No excuses.

I agree it is a new day with out those two very good players. I am really interested to see how Mason County adjusts to not having that dominant player that they have for the last 8 years. But they will definitely be in the hunt in March.

No Preston Knowles, No D-Miller, for the first time in a long time the 10th is wide-open. Clark right now seems to be a lot of peoples favorite, but they have a lot of young players that will need to step up and contribute. Mason County is Mason County. Montgomery will be in the mix as well. Who is going to represent the 10th in Rupp Arena in `09?

There are not any seat numbers on the tickets so there are no designated seats. I'm sure if you pay your five dollars and the only seats available are on the opposing side you would sit there. And to say that Mason's fans don't do it is ridiculous because two years ago there were Mason fan's sitting in GRC's student section in the region final. I didn't have a problem with that though because they payed their five dollars just like I did.

I was really interested to see how everybody would react to the site change. Mainly Mason County fans. I have not been surprised at the overwhelming negative comments. I just hope when Clark County builds its new school and hosts the tourney in about 3 or 4 years that we can all except that change is not bad. Oh and by the way, its gonna happen.

Havent really been able to follow the entire region this season but all I know is that Scott is a tough out every year it seems. The great game and upset over Mason County by GRC last year almost never happend because Scott nearly puilled off a huge upset. That is true for the past two years as they nearly upset GRC in 06 as well.

No we're just used to it. We've only been driving to Maysville for the Boys tourney for the last 39 years!
