Just got in from the game. I said in the prediction thread that I was scared of this game. Robbie Stenzel did not play. We missed his leadership and, scoring and his ability to open up other players. Free Thows also hurt us BAD. We hit them and we win the game.

 

Congrats to the coaching staff of Madison Central and their players. They had a great game plan and it worked.

 

Talked to Preston Knowles at the game tonight....glad he is doing so well on the court and in the classroom. Very proud of him.

 

To my Cards...regroup and come ready to play Friday nigh......another set of Indians are coming in and they will be wanting to beat us bad. Need to go out there and take care of business.

Looks like Stenzel was missed badly. You know he's something special when this team really looks for him to lead them and him only being a soph.

I am not suprised. I told some of the kids last week at school, before Robbie got hurt, we would lose 5 games this year...not counting Tourneys. Madison Central was one of them...some of them said, Mrs. S are you sure.?.. I said..don't count out Madison Central.

Madison Centrals defense in my opinion is what won them the game tonight. From start to finish they gave the Cards full court pressure. I thought Hatton stepped up like he was needed to and played well tonight. But a very good win for Coach Feldhaus and his boys.

I agree. Add in that Travis Pervis is out for the year.....makes a big difference.

What did Zollo do? Seems like he was a little over hyped.

How did Zollo play? He should have dominated in this game since Madison Central's biggest player is Keyshawn Simpson, who is a beast, but only 6'2"....

Think too much hype too early about GRC. I saw them at the Russell scrimmage vs. Elliott. Loads of talent, but they are just that SOPHOMORES and very young. Elliott has 7 of the top 8 as seniors with tons of experience. Top 20 team right now?? Maybe or maybe not doesn't really matter. Top 10 and possibly Top 5 team by mid Feb?? Most definitely.... They have a load of talent and those sophomores will be playing closer to Juniors by then. Still my pick to win the 10th, but if the regional was held this weekend they might be in trouble.

Anyone think Clark may be having chemistry issues with addition of Zollo,loss of Pervis and Stenzel,etc.?

I am sure it is a little confusing, but Coach HUmphrey will get the Cards right before it matters!:thumb:
