That's interesting. I think they did this way back when Duffy was coaching at Highlands. Think they were fairly successful at it. Been hearing some other changes in the program that reflect the Duffy era. Smaller roster was one of the possibilities.

I wonder if Michael got a phone call from the people of Holy Cross asking for him to do and article on Highlands football? Maybe looking to take some heat off of them. Or maybe Fox 19 sent somebody to impersonate Coach Weinrich for the story. Hahaha! Just sayin!

Michael Graham does a very nice job in his articles. This one is, ehhh, not a great read. Tobias the field as an excuse is just plain silly. As Tracy Jones likes to say, "it is what it is". Last years teams had some really nice players which some are being rewarded with the chance to play at the next level. There were many areas that a person can point fingers, but I'm pretty that's been beaten to death already. As for next year, Coach W should have just stuck with talking about the future players. And like TBirds said, Grady Kramer will vie for the starting QB and if not, then something is up. If this team wants to get back to BG, they had better start there.

Congrats to JB and his staff! What a great year they had. He "has" turned the program around and is continuing to build a championship program. It will happen soon no doubt. And congrats to the coach, staff, and community from Greenup Cty. Sounds like they are loaded for the future as well. Will have to follow to see how they do!

Absolutely correct on the # of Jimmy/Joes. That proves the argument of why the coaches failed to put the best kids on the field when they were needed.

Absolutely Pulaski just possibly may have been the better team. And yes, Weinrich knows a ton more than I do at coaching. This was a very winnable game for Highlands. I expressed my ipinion as to why "adjustments" we're not made. If adjustments were made yesterday in the 2nd half, on Highlands part, they didn't work now did they? Just sayin!

Sure he would. Pulaski earned those points. Question is, does Weinrich make adjustments on the D. He was Dales DC. So why weren't there adjustments yesterday? Is that Weinrichs call or some other Coach? If adjustments would have been made, we have no idea if Pulaski scores 27. But at least you have to do something right. Scheme, personnel, something! One thing, you don't wait till its too late to put Hebel in on d line and Doughtery back in. Crazy!

Both are friends, and heck yeah they are homers. Aren't 99% in high school homers? It's part of it. Just like on Sirius radio on Sunday's. There will be a homer channel for the Bengals, one for the Rams, and then a network channel for those that want to hear the unbiased. Is what it is!

Great game by Pulaski. The "adjustments made at the half were all the difference in the world. The lack of adjustments made from Highlands throughout, well, let's just say same ole same ole. Good luck Pulaski! You guys deserved it.
