  1. Well I am old, and have no idea what voice to text means. Hard to ruffle my feathers/fur though, unless you are the Mister BWF! So I am relatively calm.
  2. Have to go with the Ft. Wright Colonels on this one. Plus, I don’t want Cov Cath to be angry for the next week.
  3. I know! I know! Took me a minute! I am very calm!
  4. I just read an article where the author suggested closing magnet schools in Louisville, and make all schools public, which to me sounds like a bad idea. I am curious how many disadvantaged kids get into the magnet schools. My thinking is that parents who choose to send their kids to schools outside their neighborhoods should be responsible for transporting them. Would that hurt disadvantaged kids from attending? I know that the problem is more complex than that, but it seems like a good place to start. Shutting down/changing successful schools seems stupid IMO.
  5. Well! Thank goodness he wasn’t missing this…
  6. Who doesn’t like a happy banana?
  7. Funny you should say that. I went to almost every Beechwood/Pikeville game starting way back in the 80’s. I always thought that they had especially nice fans. Maybe things have changed in the last several years.
  8. Way closer than I thought! Congrats to both teams!
  9. Haven’t read through the entire thread, but is there any TV coverage?
  10. I am all for kids being kids as long as parents are parents. When we were kids, it was great to go to a school event unchaperoned. It was a safe way for kids to gain some level of independence and socialize. The difference is that when we went there, it was understood, that if you got into trouble, you were going to get in twice as much trouble at home. These days too many parents expect the school to all the parenting and there are no consequences at home. If a school is instituting this policy, it undoubtedly has to do with behavior problems that risk the saftey of others. IMO, this is a direct reflection of the breakdown of proper, responsible parenting.

  12. Sounds like the new guy is doing just fine!
  13. Thanks Guru! Your link worked well! Holy Cow! Tigers look awesome!
  14. I love it. It makes a nice snack in the afternoon when the pre dinner hungries kick in. Just needs a little salt.
  15. Been married to my high school sweetheart 43 years. Few pieces of advice for you both. As my mama always said “Don’t make mountains out of mole hills.” Put each other first…before your mom, siblings, friends…and yourself. Be best friends. If you can do those things (which is not always easy), you will avoid a lot of problems and and make other problems easier to tackle. Congratulations on your wedding and best of luck for a long happy marriage.
  16. Congrats to Cam! I was surprised that he wasn’t named on the tournament team.
