  1. I was going to say the same thing. I wondered how many got Mack's "Paul is dead" quote earlier.
  2. I will be in Louisville this weekend. Are you telling me that this pizza is better than Wicks?
  3. On the surface I can see that they look low. However, keep in mind that public schools educate a broader range of students, including special ed and/or special needs kids as well as behavior problem kids. A public schools's "average score" is likely to be lower than private schools who do not have the same population.
  4. If times had been more racially equal, there would be a history of black comic book heroes. I am not an expert on comic books, but I bet the vast majority were white. Eddie Murphy played Dr. Doolittle and Nutty Professor, both previously known as white characters and did a great job. No big deal.
  5. I havent seen or read the conspiracy theories. However, can someone tell me the theories of WHY it was done at the cost of so many lives?
  6. I watched the movie Flight 93, the other night. Was very disappointed that the "lets roll" saying was not in the final scene. Interesting thread. I am going to have to Google this later in the day.
  7. Have we all forgotton Ruth Chris......best steak in the world, but you pay a good price for it. Pizza......Wicks! Everytime I get to Louisville I have to have a Wicks fix!
  8. Most are. The current Junior class has a great core of athletes who have played together since grade school at St. Pius AND several years on the same club team. (Schellhaus, Robinson, Wulfeck and Barton-all in the starting line up). Senior setter Jenna Schreiver also started out at St. Pius. Dont know about the others.
  9. Beechwood's current Junior class has a very large group of exceptional students. I would be willing to bet that next year's scores will be even higher.
  10. I must admit, the boys did look a little flat. Lloyd traditionally always comes out ready to play Beechwood, and we were not quite as ready. However, one thing I know about Beechwood football is that those boys get better and better as the season goes on.
  11. Thanks Oldguy! We at Beechwood are very proud of our students.:ylsuper:

  13. Birdsfan, No doubt your mood following your reunion has a lot to do with the recent passing of your friend Julie. Nothing makes you look back and reminisce like an experience like that. Part of the grieving process. I bet your next class reunion will be much more positive. Our class had a 5 year reunion. A classmate and I worked together on it (worked very hard in fact). The results were a good turnout, mostly made of people complaining how expensive it was and suggestions for how it can be done better.:madman: Our class was never a cohesive one. Because it is small, Beechwood started an "all class" reunion about 22 years ago. This reunion is held every 5 years. The first one (in 1985) was a blast with a great showing from almost all classes. I have worked on two subsequest reunions, 15 years ago, and was in charge 10 years ago. The one thing I have noticed is that people who graduated in the 40's, 50's, 60's and early 70's show up regularly and have a great time. Grads after that seem to have very little interest in coming. I always wondered why that was. My class unfortunately is one of the "little interest" group.
  14. I know I was around in the 90's, but none of those songs sound familiar.:creepy: When I was alone, it was the oldies. When I was with my kids it was the most recent sound track from a Disney Movie. Cant believe I missed an entire decade! My personal favorite......Lion King!:thumb:
  15. OMG:eek: Would you consider spending a couple of days at my house? I do the grammar thing too. My kids call me the grammar nazi!
  16. Ladies and gentlemen, I think we have a winner!
  17. If you think only ER/Trauma nurses are the only ones who work under such stressful conditions, then you dont know anything about nursing.
  18. What about Oreos? I like to dunk mine VERY BRIEFLY so they are crunchy yet still have a bit of sogginess (is that a word??) to them. Cant tell you the exact timing on that one. You just have to have a feel for it. Pretty sure it is between 8 to 10 seconds.
