Agreed. But A and AA schools? As large as SK and Dixie are they should be banging on the door of D1 OH schools. Not necessarily GCL or Colerain but someone that is closer to X and Trinity. Heck, even some 6A schools down in KY would be better than Holy Cross, NewCath and Beechwood.

If that's what you were going for, I agree. Like you said, you will never know who the best team, county, class, district...etc. in the state is because they simply don't play each other.

Huh? Holy Cross and NC are AA schools. Collins is 4A, Cooper and Conner are 5A. What do you mean by "played up"?

That's why I asked. While I saw SK played Conner and Dixie played CCH, you can't say it's the best county in the state when you include games vs NCC and Beechwood and are in the largest and second largest class in KY. That's not to discredit how good those teams are. But it gets tiresome reading all of this stuff about the best in the state, county, whatever when there really is nothing to go on other than record. There very well could be other counties with worse records but better teams based on competition alone. If you want to say they have the best record, sure.

If your like my wife you will pick a team based on uniforms. Agreed. Henderson Co is not affected at all. In HS sports playing out of state teams means nothing since you are going for a state title.

I think it's more of a case of Trinity trying to find competitive games. They gain nothing by playing mediocre KY teams. In the end, they should do what's best for them and find someone that can expose weaknesses so they can get better. Of course, others (Hellbird) seems to think they owe it to KY to play other KY teams. They owe them nothing.

Agreed. It was most likely added because someone abused it. Maybe put a few teams in the old Gus Macker tournaments, or something similar.

You will know something. You will only know a lot if BG plays Trinity and HHS, and HHS plays Trinity and X.

All of this goes back to my initial post. NO ONE KNOWS! Teams have to play each other to determine who is better. Could BG be #1, absolutely. Could X, T, HHS...sure. No one will ever know. Seems like a lot of wasted energy trying to figure out who is the best when you will never really know.

I don't know. The same thing that Trinity's schedule has to do with BG being #1 in the state. The best thing about ALL of these threads asking which team is better, when they don't play, or which team over the last ten years from a particular program is better...etc is that it doesn't matter and you will never know. Now that you bring it up, what the hell is the point of any thread asking who the best in the state is when there are six classes?

I wonder how many people are bookmarking this thread to rehash if Trinity goes 6-4 or 5-5 and wins another title.
