Friday night at Wooten Field under the lights, CovCath welcomes Bye to Park Hills for a 7pm game.

 

CovCath has never been beaten by Bye before but with all the injuries, this could be Bye's year to upset the Colonels.

 

Last year at Bye, CovCath came away with a 21 to nothing shutout of the team from Nowhere, Ky but it wasn't as easy as one would think. Blake Bir threw three TD's of 30, 25 and 53 yards to earn the "W" for the Colonels.

 

Now with the sophomore backfield of Ben's, will the young men of CovCath be able to score?

 

No doubt the CovCath "D" led by Way, Burchell, and Nelms, will keep Bye at bay throughout the night and I look for Bye not to cross the 50, much less the goal line.

 

CovCath Internet Radio will not be broadcasting this game, as Mark is doing the CovCath vs. HHS Frosh game this week and he is on a one game a week broadcasting limit from his lovely bride. Besides, he has to work sometime to afford those Med school expensive of his children, so be forewarned Colonel faithful, there will be no Internet Radio coverage of the game!

As simply as I can say it: Bye sucks! They could not even beat Highlands, much less CovCath.

This alone will increase the already large crowd that is excepted at this CovCath Bye game!

CovCath would have to consider a tie with Bye a moral victory. Any team should.

I think CCH wins but Bye causes 2 more season ending injuries to the Colonels offense and sophomores will be stepping up to fill the void the rest of the way.

 

I did hear both coaches have had their issues with eachother in the past. Bye's coach has claimed CCH trying to run up the score on several occasions. I can't see CCH ever trying to do that so I think Bye is full of crap.

I played for Bye back in the day and one thing I'm sure coach sttill does is tto refuse tto exchangee film. To tthis dayy I don't think anyyone can find aany game film on BBye so it keeps teams guessing whaat to expect..

You are correct. The Big 3 in KY (T, SK and Raceland) all scheduled Open this year instead of taking on the Bye Bye Birdies (no pun intended toward the real Birdies).

And after the game, everyone will be singing "Na na na na, na na na na, hey hey, good Bye"

Preparing for Bye is truly difficult. You just never know what's coming.

I can't understand why the Lexington schools cant figure Bye Out.

Defeating Bye is as tough as defeating Silver Grove and OLP.
