  1. Yep, we have had a lot of cold Mayfield-Danville games, just seems colder going up to Danville, lol.
  2. So you are saying that Calloway's defense has some holes huh? I saw the 82 yards from Williams and thought that he was being held pretty good, didn't know that Marshall was mixing it up pretty good, I didn't think Marshall was much of a passing team this year.
  3. BOO, lol, I love the cold weather, reminds me of a cold November day back in 2002 when Mayfield came up to Danville and won, hehe.
  4. We all know that Mayfield is going to try to establish the run and we know that Calloway held Williams from Marshall to like 80 something yards. One difference is that Mayfield has 3 or 4 good backs, will Calloway be able to contain them all?
  5. Yeah, they held Rump out last week against Fulton County, he wasn't needed at all. I too would rather have logan out of this game defensively if possible. I wasn't sure about Brockman, just heard about the 10 INT's, but someone told me that 4 of those were in game 1, where he was just starting as a QB.
  6. Anybody know if Rump is going to play tonight?
  7. I think several Mayfield fans are in the same boat with ya on this one. Graves and Tilghman could only put up 6 points combined, that pretty much sums it up right there. I think that their passing game may confuse us some but we have been pretty successful at getting at QB's all season and I don't see it changing in this game, and if they have to go to the run, well, thats been our specialty on defense.
  8. Well, I am finally back from a camping trip I took this week. My boy came out of that game with at least 25 mosquito bites on him. I was told by someone at the game that the fulton folks sprayed sugar-water up and down the sideline before the game. It seems pretty believable when you saw how many mosquitoes where at the game.
  9. Yeah, the cooler weather only helps Mayfield and in the latter part of the season the team has adjusted and everybody knows what position they are good at. I know that the Mayfield 'D' is ready for this game, coach lawson said he was going to work the kids hard and he gave them all homework to take home and study. I am sure he is preparing them for what is probably the best passing team that Mayfield has faced thus far. I like that Mayfield gets to play a good passing team, helps us out in the playoffs.
  10. I don't really see it as a "trouble" but more of an "opportunity". Look at Mayfield this year, we have our senior QB injured and out for almost a couple of games and that allows our freshman QB to step in there and get valuable playing time and it worked out great!! Now Mayfield has kids that will have played all 4 years, you just don't get that in a bigger school.
  11. Ah, then Mayfield and Beechwoods #'s are very similar then, :thumb:
  12. Wow, I am counting 52 players from soph to senior, thats an awesome turnout for football. Mayfield has less and thats freshman included. There would be a lot of 4A - 5A schools pleased with that turnout!!
  13. I was looking through the Beechwood roster on the enquirer site and I noticed that there were no freshman listed on the site. Does Beechwood not dress out freshman on their team or were they just not included on this roster?
  14. I haven't seen the AP polls anywhere, anybody got a link to em?
  15. 1. Mayfield 2. Trigg County 3. Owensboro Catholic 4. Fort Campbell 5. Paducah Tilghman 6. Metcalfe County 7. Russellville 8. Fulton City 9. Glasgow 10. Caldwell County
  16. Anybody got any stats on this game? What about a game video? I know, thats probably asking too much, but some stats would be nice Its kinda hard to tell much from the video clips in the earlier part of the thread.
  17. I'd be interested to see if Mayfield gets bumped up to first place this week in the 1A polls, with Beechwood losing to CovCath, a 5A school. I would say that Mayfield deserves it, but I personally think we would be better off in 2nd place.
  18. I think this could be the the first real speedy team to test Mayfield. I do believe that Mayfield has more weapons overall that PT has, which could keep PT confused all night. It will be good if Logan comes back if for nothing more than the leadership. I know that #28 I believe for PT is huge and he must have been totally overlooked by Graves in that game cause he was picking up some nice yardage in that game. I know another player to look out for on PT is #18, he can really turn on the burners on the corners from what I saw. Kicking game could really be a factor in this game especially cause it has came down to way too many close games over the years, I say Mayfield 21 PT 14
  19. Yeah, from what I have always heard, the two school systems are like oil and water, they just don't mix.
  20. Wow, I am surprised not to see a single post in here about Paducah Tilghman, maybe its because they have a losing season this year. But all of their losses have came against very good teams and they were really close games. But last year they started out 0-5 and then went on to go deep into the playoffs, I am not sure what to think about their low scoring affair with Union County, unless they weren't wanting to show much offense for the Mayfield coaches in the game coming up, but I wouldn't count them out quite yet!!
  21. Marcus Moss was probably the best to go through Mayfield, he has several rushing records I believe.
  22. Well, Graves came out before the Mayfield game and stomped on our cardinal and we took em to the woodshed, :thumb:
