Bath County is a pretty good basketball team. Coach Hicks stepped into a pretty good place to land after the Soap Opera that is Greenup County.

Elliott County reigns supreme in the region. Despite some wishful thinking Raceland never had a chance.

As Thomas goes so goes Ashland.

East Carter keeps staking their claim to the #2 spot in the 16th region.

Even though Miller didn't have big numbers through the first three quarters the Mason County offense was much better when he was in the game. He had some nice assists and didn't try to force anything. I do think Miller need to be stronger around the basket like he was in the fourth quarter. He is a great talent.

I hate the FCC. The local cable station blocked out WKYT right after the free throw to put LC ahead.

I think she was reffering to MC saying "#1 until someone beats them". Which I agree, if they do get knocked off by somebody in the region I still think they are the #1 team.

Believe it or not I do not have a blind hatred of Raceland. I have alot of friends from or involved with the school system. I do have a problem with a few of the Raceland fans but that is it. Raceland has a fine team, no doubt about it. I still think Rose Hill is better and I believe Tuesdays game gives a little credibility to that. We've never met. But thanks for the analysis Dr. Freud. I've seen Coach Dodd do that at JV games before and at Freshman games as well. I just don't think it is in his nature not to yell. Coach Parsley can get very emotional. They seem to be getting along fine. At least I haven't seen any fist fights yet.

I had said I thought East Carter was the second best team in the region but I didn't expect this. Good job Raiders and the Lions get their first scare in the region.

Stir the pot. That has nothing to do with this. Are you insinuating there is a strain between members of the coaching staff as well? This is how irresponsible rumors get started.

I don't think anybody should quit. But that is a personal choice. If they comeback it is up to the coach and depends upon the situation with each individual. The specifics are something that none of us know but alot of people want to jump to conclusions about.

Toughest -11th and 7th Weakest -16th

I don't have any bandwagon to jump on. I pull for Russell in every sport, up or down year doesn't matter. And I don't begrudge Raceland because they beat Russell in basketball either. Alot of teams will beat them twice this year. Raceland has a fine team this year. But I believe Rose hill will have 5 on the court as well. Its just that their two stars are better than anyone else in the region. That IMO gives them an advantage. If you want something to hang your hat on I do think that Raceland is better than Ashland and one of the top 5 teams in the region.

I'm probably one of the few that sits in the middle on this. The biggest problem to me seems to be the division between the two sides that has polarized the basketball program. Its a sport and supposed to be fun and teach lessons to the kids that want to play it. The only lesson being taught right now is how to divide a community. I think both sides need to rebuild a few bridges that have been burned. I hope they can.

Yes but the other 6 are not as good as the first 2. And since there only five on the floor I think the advantage still goes to Rose Hill.

2 individuals will beat 1 individual at least 7 out of 10 times. I believe that will be what we see at RH tomorrow night. I give Ashland a edge in the coaching department. That may even things out. But talent wise. if you take Thomas from Ashland then they are not very good at all. As for Raceland they are well coached and Boyles is a very good player. Sparks has size and is versatile. But neither are as talented as the duo at RH. Thats just my opinion. We will see how things play out.
