Drew Johnson scores 1000th career point in win. Johnson led East with 25. Colt Barnhill was big on the boards - didn't get final stats but probably had another double double. East defense took over in final quarter to stop a scrappy Morgan Co. team.

Congrats to East on the big district win. Morgan Co. has made steady improvement all season and continue to do so. This game was much closer than the 11 point loss, it was a 36-35 game in the 4th quarter, but Morgan County couldn't get over the hump.

 

Both teams played hard and congrats to Drew Johnson on scoring his 1,000 point.

 

Look forward to seeing East Carter in about 18 hours from now coming here to play in the Commercial Bank Hoops showcase tomorrow.
