Raceland is clearly the best team in the 63rd district and the one that nobody wants to draw. With Ferguson back I think Lewis County, Greenup County and Russell are a crap shoot. This game would hold alot more significance if the 63rd were to seed instead of draw, which hopefully will be the case in the future.

Well It was 85-82 the first time these team plays and I'm pretty sure they didn't play all night. With the coaching change it should be much lower scoring this time. Greenup County 59 Russell 48

Without a doubt some potshots are taken on here. Most of them not veiled at all. I'm not that naive. Some of us do try to take an honest shot at it though. Thanks for the "young fella" reference. Even if it is only young at heart.

I don't think they will air it out but I would like to see them use more of the screens and swing passes that they have in the past.

I don't see how it is ill to rank the teams as you see them. But this is America and you are entitled to your opinion. It would be more interesting to see where you would rank all of the teams than to just criticize everyone else who bothers to try.

Ramey went to Georgetown and had his career cut short by a knee injury I believe. Possibly the 2nd most exciting runner at Russell behind Gross.

I agree. I played against Mike and it was like trying to tackle a tank. He was also a very hard hitting linebacker.

Russell returns alot. Have to replace the heart and soul of Jones and Foster. Should be another strong year. On offense the entire backfield returns. There should be alot of competition along the line of scrimmage to replace three starters. Defensively the line is also the main concern. LBs and defensive backs all return. I think they will be a bit smaller but quicker along the defensive front.

Zornes has them playing better with tournament time right around the cornor.

I would say that is more likely than just possible.

Ferguson is back and scored 21 in a close loss to Rowan County last week.

I doubt East loses to Ashland. But anything is possible.

Wrong. They have 3 wins against teams that have a record over .500. They have beaten West Carter twice.

Yes I do son. East Carter has been far more consistent than Rose Hill throughout the season. Rose Hill had a great week and has the two most talented players in the region but I still think East is a better team.

Ol Jimbo never has been the best rolemodel for good sportsmanship. He is right about one thing though. Clemons and Metz are very underappreciated in the 16th region.

Very dissapointing effort from Russell tonight. I thought they had alot more energy last week against Fleming. It was a pretty ugly game by both teams to be honest about it. Lewis County's press was the difference in the game. Russell does not handle pressure on the ball well at all.

The win by Rose Hill is very impressive and they deserve all of the credit in the world. That being said I still believe that Elliott County is clearly still the best team in the 16th region. I don't think Elliott shoots that poorly again. I'm sure the Royals defense had something to do with it. But if the shooting percentages were reversed than I don't think the game remains close. To me the biggest stat though, was rebounding. You cannot get beat on the boards that badly and win a game. That was the most suprising stat that from the game.
