UT Vol Fan Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 1.Elliott County-Best in the region by far 2.East Carter- second best winning percentage, big win over Raceland, slipped against Fairview. 3.Bath County-good win over Rose Hill, haven't lost in awhile. 4.Raceland-No true solid wins, but riding a 4 game win streak. 5.Ashland-Great win over Fairview, but lost 2 out of last 3. 6.Fairview-Big wins against East Carter, but barely beat Boyd County and lost 2 out of last 3. 7.West Carter-3 game win streak, but 2 losses to Boyd County hurts them. 8.Rose Hill- Toughest schedule so far in the 16th, will move up after they play more 16th teams. 9.Fleming County- Cupcake schedule provides them with a above .500 record. 10.Morgan County- Good win over Bath County, Underachieving a tad bit. 11.Boyd County-Good wins over West Carter, but haven't beat really anyone else. 12.Rowan County-Lost several tight ones. 13.Lewis County-0-8 in region play. 14.Greenup County-Beat Russell, lost thier coach. 15.Russell-Beat Fleming County, Lost top 2 players. 16.Menifee County-Beat the worst of the 14th Region, Lost to everyone and thier brother.
Lion Mania Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 Looks good to me East Carter has a nice team and is one of the top teams in the region, but lost by 32 to Elliott at HOME. Elliott has them in Sandy Hook tomorrow night. Common logic says it should be just as bad a score or worse in Sandy Hook. Let's see what happens tomorrow after the dust settles. Never know.
UT Vol Fan Posted January 14, 2008 Author Posted January 14, 2008 I don't think that will be much of a game though.
ky hoopster Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 East Carter generally plays Elliott tougher at Elliott than they do at East!!
Ms Liberty Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 Since it was 32 at the last meeting I'll say Elliott will score more than they did last time .
UT Vol Fan Posted January 14, 2008 Author Posted January 14, 2008 Since it was 32 at the last meeting I'll say Elliott will score more than they did last time . That all depends on if they want to beat them by worst than 32.
mpspencer63 Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 East Carter generally plays Elliott tougher at Elliott than they do at East!! That's the true!!! ;)
FBALL Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 IMO Rose Hill should be higher. I agree. I think they should be ahead of West Carter, Ashland and Raceland.
CatsCatsCats Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 I think Morgan should be above Fleming, RH could possibly be higher. But, everyone seems to have beaten each other up in the fight for the #2 rank in the region. By the end of the month things will hopefully clear up.
UT Vol Fan Posted January 15, 2008 Author Posted January 15, 2008 IMO Rose Hill should be higher. It's hard to put them up there with their record. Just because a team may be better than another doesn't mean they should be ranked higher. Winning percentage comes into play in this one.
Springsteen#1 Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 I agree. I think they should be ahead of West Carter, Ashland and Raceland. FBALL we disagree on everything because a good team will beat will beat 2 individuals 7 out off 10 times an Ashland and Raceland are good teams an IMO Ashland will beat RH tomorrow night

I believe that will be what we see at RH tomorrow night. I give Ashland a edge in the coaching department. That may even things out. But talent wise. if you take Thomas from Ashland then they are not very good at all. As for Raceland they are well coached and Boyles is a very good player. Sparks has size and is versatile. But neither are as talented as the duo at RH. Thats just my opinion. We will see how things play out.

FBALL Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 This may be true about Raceland but its a good thing the Rams are 8 deep! Yes but the other 6 are not as good as the first 2. And since there only five on the floor I think the advantage still goes to Rose Hill.
