Russell is favored in this game as they should be. They are a larger school. With that said I still think it will be a very good game. Do not underestimate a team that is hungry. I think that Raceland knocking off Russell would make their season. I'm no longer concerned about the Russell secondary. Morris has fixed it just like he always does. I'm not so sure size wise that Raceland will match up. I saw on here that one poster said that Raceland was faster than Russell. That very well may be. Russell has no 4.5 players like they have in the past. But they do have a bunch of 4.6 maybe 7 players that can move to the ball well. Should be a lot of fun.. The lawn chairs are ready.

If you call being 8-1 struggling I'm not sure what football team you are watching. Being in close games is not always a sign that you are having problems. At times when you are in a close game it is because the team you are playing is just as good as you are. You call it what you want. You have definately established yourself as the leader of the Russell haters. I have no idea what ax you have to grind with Russell. Enjoy.

I almostg left the game half way threw the 2nd quarter. I was so Word Filter ViolationWord Filter ViolationWord Filter ViolationWord Filter Violationed that we could not catch anything. We stunk. We we very lucky that Abrams and the O-line bailed us out.

I really hate it when we loose a game and then attempt to throw some blame toward refs. I can assure you the refs made a lot less mistakes that Russell and Mason County. That game could have gone either way and the refs had nothing to do with it. It is very unfortunate when an inadvertant whistle is blown. It happens at all levels. Guess what? It will happen again. Mason did a good job shutting down number 8 as you say. Most players would not be out there with the injury # 8 is playing with. So congratulations. Hopefully #8 Tyler Jones will be healthy in 27 days if we play again. By the way I thought Mason County has a very good football team. Your Head Coach is top notch in my book. Going for two. I really liked it. GUTTTS!! The second meeting should be another great game.

Abrams and the O-line won the game for Russell last night. They picked the Devils up and carried them on their backs. Abrams made some very nice reads last night and broke several long runs. It was very refreshing to see the secondary begin to jell. Jones continues to play hurt. I hope he can rest that ankle over the next three weeks. It would sure be nice if he could sit out the game with Raceland. That would give him three full weeks to heal the ankle. I don't see that happening. The kid wants to play.

I'm with you. We must not muff, fumble, or drop the ball. We correct that and Russell by 21 points.

It does take guts to put it on the line. I have a feeling that the Coach did not want to get into a long OT to decide the game. At least that is what it sounded like during his post game interview. I think it was a great call. Mason County is always fun to watch. You can bet they will be ready if we see them again down the road.

There for a while we could not catch anything that was in the air. We muffed every punt and dropped every pass until late in the second half when we caught one pass. I listened to the post game show and Coach Bucannon came on and said his team played their best game to date. We may see Mason again in about three weeks. I can assure everyone of one thing. If we continue to put the ball on the ground that will be our last game. We came out of there with a lucky win. Luck was with Mason County all game until that sack that took them out of FG range. I feel very confident that the Devils will hang onto the ball after they see how badly they look on film. Sometimes we need a little luck to win those close games. Congratulations Devils.

I'm almost glad that the bleeding is over. Tough season for the Tomcats. They will be back next year and be better than ever.

Yes! We do appreciate the game being played at Russell. Should be another good game.

Congratulations Red Devils. Russell made the stops when they had to. We had several turnovers that were very costly. During the drive back Coach Bucanon stated several times that this was his teams best game to date. Russell once again came out and gave up two TD's before answering back. I want to thank each and every Red Devil player for that win. I did not want to make that drive two times. Drew Abrams 200 plus yards tonight.

Now whats wrong with Russell's field?

I think we as fans make way to much fuss about the weather and how it effects the players and the game. A good football team can play in any weather.

I really don't think you can have two forward passes during the same play. Illegall forward pass. The team that intercepted the ball gets the ball 1st and team.

Sounds like enough to me.

Maybe the question should have been. Who does not utilize a three back offense at all?
