Per leading the Rocks back after a pick, one of the things I've liked best about Petrino is that when he makes a rare mistake, he ALWAYS comes back and makes up for it.

I hope Petrino doesn't go to Louisville. There's time to come back as a graduate assistant later, or get into coaching (lord knows he'll have the connections) but he should get to play while he has the opportunity, and he won't have that at U of L.

I don't think it's evidence against the Litkenhous at all. My opinion all year has been that Male is the best team in the state, and Trinity would defeat them in the third round. X being rated #2 is a better example that the Lit might be flawed.

Who are the top 10, if you don't think Warren Central makes the cut? The BGP poll, easily the best in the land pound for pound, disagrees with you. By the way, anyone that saw the games against Trinity and X would have called them competitive, they got away from Manual late but were certainly close to begin with. Until Manual lost their top two QBs in the sceond half against X in the playoffs, they were down 3 and driving in Tiger territory.

Yup, only in state losses were to Male, X, and Trinity. Beat several top 10 teams like Warren Central and PRP. Not to mention Meade Co, a regional finalist. Decent. Trinity's played nobody.

Once again, you show what you know. In the past few years, X has spread the field and thrown more than they ever have. Curley was a pretty good passer, and a very fine runner, too. Look up his stats and the opinions of people around this town before you insinuate that his job was to hand it off to Mattingly and Anderson last year. I said last year that he was my personal choice for MVP in Louisville, and as you may notice I played for Manual- no special love on my part towards St. X. As far as who got hurt this year, no one's offering up an excuse (certainly not me, I picked Male to win this game) but last I checked Vic Anderson's been fighting injury all year, and was hurt last week against Manual.

And that had nothing to do with X's starting QB being knocked out? Injuries happen, and I'm certainly not making excuses for X, but you can't just bring that into it like that with out at least making a reference.

I was shocked at the late movement myself.

Why? If they were both the best teams, they would have met in round three last year. Plus we would get to see a rematch of one of last year's playoffs most thrilling finishes.

A St X- John Hardin rematch would have been fun to watch.
