I think as long as they are up by Saturday, then yes. You got some people that think they should be up the second the game is over. Not everyone has 14 coaches on staff.

Not taking away these guys. I think the loyalty is great. But UNFORTUNATELY, that's not what the question nor do we measure the success of a coach. 1. Wins 2. Titles Are what they are measured by. I don't like it either, but that's the way it is.

I think if you start with Beatty and Haywood you can't go wrong. I have heard people say "well Beatty had a Porsche". I say well he Made it a Bugatti. I know a lot of guys that would of totaled the Porsche.

Has anyone heard anything about this job yet? Who are top candidates? Timeline to fill the position?

My favorite thing in the world to here is "this guy always does it right" I disagree, every school is didferent. At Scott Co it may work that they get ALL of June off. I know Trinity practices 4-5 days a week in June. Do they do it wrong? Not for them. I'm happy Scott Co got a ring, but I know a lot of schools that have multiple rings that practice a lot. Trinity, Highlands, Mayfield, etc I can go on. They practice a lot in June. They all have multiple rings.

We allowed this by giving them june off from 7 on 7 competitions.

Do they have any teaching jobs open? If not, it looks like an internal hire.

Depends on what the weakness of the team your playing. If they have the Speed and "toughness" then your screwed unless you find a weakness of theirs. They have those attributes, but may not be in shape or very smart football players.

I had a coach tell me you can't play physical in a 2pt stance. Dumbest comment I have ever heard.

I remember him running the spread in late 90's early 2000's cause he had a good QB. Then in Early 2000's to 2008ish he was a belly guy. Then ran the veer out of flexbone.

Malzhan took the Wing T and put it in the shotgun. Everyone thinks he runs a read zone. Gus is a gap scheme guys. NOW with Herb Hand as his OL coach, it may change I didn't pay attention to them much last year, but I remember him talking about when Herb Hand and Gus were at Tulsa both learned alot from each other from each others blocking schemes. Asked Chip Kelly at a bar in Nashville Opryland Hotel what's the secret back in 2013 I believe. Anyway he talked to us for about 30 minutes and said learn the wing T and you will understand Oregon's blocking scheme. He took a call and I think it was from his agent telling him the Eagles deal. He came back and got his stuff and said he's catching a plane. Anyway, he dressed up the wing T from the shotgun. There's alot of great Spread guys in this State. There's a lot of great Wing T guys in this state and there's a lot of great football coaches that use the veer (Phillip Haywood), who I think is the best football coach in the state of KY.

Ah! And who were the ADs at these schools? The same ones heading their respective coaches associations. I give basketball association leaders credit. They know how to negotiate

For June yes. Spring is another monster I don't agree with. a lot of gray area there. Football gave up June.
