Jody Ashby has apparently resigned at Ohio County and will be an assistant at John Hardin. What does this mean for Ohio County this late in the summer? Who on the current staff is ready to be the head coach? Will the new coach come from outside?

HARTFORD, Ky. — After only three seasons with the Ohio County Football Eagles, Coach Jody Ashby has resigned his position as head coach.

Ashby, an Ohio County High School graduate and former football Eagle, resigned Friday and will become the new offensive coordinator and strength and conditioning coordinator at John Hardin High School in Elizabethtown, Ky.

I think Ashby will be a good match with Engstrand. This sounds like the wing-t just died at JH.

When it comes to jobs you've gotta look out for #1, but talk about leaving the kids on the team at Ohio County high and dry... Opening kickoff of the 2017 season is 9 weeks from Friday but they don't even have a head coach now.

Its nothing against the kids that are at Ohio County, but at this point, their numbers are so low they may not even be able to have a team. I figured Ashby was almost a lock for Apollo and when that didn't work out, he had to make a move. I hope everything works out for the kids wanting to play football in Hartford. They have some good kids. I also wish Coach Ashby the best, John Hardin is getting a very good assistant.
