Most schools have the whole summer already scheduled with camps, scrimmages etc...the Mustangs will be way behind.

Any updates...how did this happen?

Former Campbell County assistant who worked with Dan Sullivan and coached on the Region 10 Champion squad. He has signed a contract to teach math at the high school. Also, is wanting the basketball job. Jerry Gross, played college ball in Tennessee somewhere.

Moving up to Admin position. Could always go back down the road though.

Cruise and Vocke play football as well as quite a few freshman. The question is will they remain in the program.

He will be back. I know there is a job he is interested in but really has no chance at.

I would say you are correct that he is staying, I did not say he was leaving, I do not care if he stays or goes. I KNOW he was looking. Maybe he did not find anything, not being a teacher hurts his chances.

Coach K was let go at Brossart in a very messy and public situation a few years ago. Mel Webster was the AD then and still is. I doubt he has changed his mind.

I think that the school has the issue of the principle opening to fill first. I am sure that this will be kept very private until they are sure they have this one right. Brossart cannot miss on this hire because coach Dawn at NCC will have them beating down the doors to play for him. Two programs going in opposite directions. Good luck to the Mustangs on this.

I thought Listerman was at Colerain? I think Herald has had previous issues in dealing with strong football programs...Beechwood... look at the talent he would of had there if he didn't resign, Rick Shumate wouldn't have had that opportunity.

Could the person that is teaching at SG be Bev Smith former Bellevue coach? I really do not think that you need to worry about Brossart because as long as Mel Webster is calling those shots this is a dead issue.

Please understand that I am not saying that he is going to leave. However, I have first hand knowledge that he is struggling with the thought of having to start all over again with less talent than they have had. A person very close to him told me he was going back and forth as far as his thoughts for the future. Do you really think he would say he was not going to come back unless he had a signed contract or another job offered to him? As far as attacking my statement I stand by it 100%. I have no dog in this fight and do not deal in rumors! If you don't agree check out my post that Dan Trame would get the WV boys job on the day Bennett stepped down. I posted that Schlarman would step down at Highlands even before the boys regional. If you want more specifics pm me. The guru knows I only deal in truths.

I doubt Coach Clary will go anywhere to coach. Coach Stamm is looking hard for somewhere his run at Ludlow is about over, talent and size drops off this year.

I would say.

Is he gone for sure? I would think most schools at least go through the process...to at least make it look like the administration is covering all bases.:sssh:

Maybe they had to schedule early and were unaware of the boys dates at BOK?

1980-81 season, Bob Eades was the coach they lost to eventual State Champ Simon Kenton in the old "blind draw" 33rd District. I think it was the first game of the districts and SK beat them in 1 or 2 OT's. I think they missed some FT's and lost. Burns, Anderson, Martin, Carpenter...good team. Also lost to Highlands in the 9th finals Eades son played then. But as you can see it has been a long time.

I would agree with that statement,however, as the child gets older it will be tougher. I have heard he is done from a person close to him. It seems like he had more success at Brossart than Highlands. I think that may have something to do with it. He did not have to compete for the athletes with no football there when he coached. It has been a fairly long drought for the Birds going to Rupp.

I think he will be a Junior next year. I really think this is almost all but signed, Dan Trame will take the job. To be honest I think he was really the only one approached by the administration. A little off topic but I heard that they will be changing some regions around again soon and Scott County will be heading back to the 8th.
