We really enjoyed the Northern Kentucky Coaches' Association Awards Banquet today at Triple Crown Country Club. The best of the best in girls basketball was there and recognized. Richard Skinner did a great job as MC. Congratulations to:

Ashley Daughtery Division III Player of the Year

Why in the world would the Northern Kentucky Coaches' Association Awards Banquet be held on the same day of the Ninth Region Boys semi-finals game? Now I understand, it's the girls, not the boys award banquet, but still, how much news print will this even garnish in the paper on Monday with the boys playing in the semis on Sunday?

Maybe they had to schedule early and were unaware of the boys dates at BOK?

They would not get much ink no matter when it is held, unfortunately.

Nice to see the coaches acknowledge these well derserving young athletes. The room was full of talented girls from the NKAC.

 

Only problem I had was figuring out who they were cause they really looked nice all dressed up.

 

If I remember correctly, the coaches of the year for the divisions were as follows:

 

Stowers from SK Div 1

Dawn from NCC Div 2

Stamm from Ludlow Div 3

 

I wonder if anyone has a complete list of all the girls recognized Sunday at Triple Crown?

Panda, I felt the same way saturday night at the BOK. I didnt know who Casey Jackson was when she went out on the floor for the all tournament team. She looked really nice, must take after her mom?
