Would go with either one of those guys as long as they make the commitment to put in the work for the ENTIRE program, open gyms and coaching and teaching for the high school players as well as middle and elementary players and total control over who coaches those programs. Hinson probably won't be available long as don't look for St. Patrick to have a school for long, was told they would probably have to bring up 5th and 6th graders just to fill the middle school program next year

Are we assuming that these are the only two people who have applied? Are we positive that interviews are over?

I don't know Chad, but Coach Hinson is a quality coach and would be a good fit. Other could mean anybody?

Why are you speculating on the fate of St Patrick School this poll is who would be the better coach, not wheter St Patrick will stay open. I am positive that St Patrick will be around longer than either of these two coaches will be at Bracken County. Steps are being taken that will secure St Patricks future, and with that will come some belt tightening that may force choices for some of the staff. I hope everyone will refrain from making wild unfounded statements, that only serve to hurt the school, students, athletes and the community.

I dont care what he has done in girls softball, he's coaching girl's softball it's no where close to boys varsity tennis better yet basketball. And go where? If they have played a minute of Varsity Ball then the rules on transfering are complicated. Shame on parents who move their kids because of a new coach. I can only imagine what my father would have said if I wanted to transfer because the new coach was not to my liking.

All I want to know is RuSerous. From what I've seen Hinson has done a pretty good job with what he's had to work with at St. Pat. ASSISTANT COACH!!!!! PLEASE!!:ohbrother:

I don't know much about Hinson or Persinger but looking at their schedule for next year on the khsaa website, a blind man could win 15 games.

Both could do the job very well, IMO. Both are knowledgeable and passionate about the game. Both will put forth great effort in rebuilding the program.

 

Whoever gets the job will have their hands full, as has every other B.C. coach, in dealing with parents. Parents have long been the program's Achilles Heel.
