Let's talk about this mystery coach from Hopkinsville. The man is Jeremy Miles he has a wife who played D1 has a a son and he is a great friend and mentor. Why would we go with a Persinger or a Hinson I respect them both and there family ties in this area, but this is way bigger then all that. Coach Miles can give r children a way out to further there education for free. We really need to think this through. Lets talk about if he is a water boy or not.1 Pikeville College year before he came worst in conference, his first year final four team won regular season and conference tournament titles. 2. Juco in Hutchison Kansas not sure on record but go look it up, promise it will be unbelievable. 3. Last stop UHA not only winning class a state which we are, won a district and regional tournament. Is this not enough, are we going to continue to leave are kids with no chance of success.

And as far as the CATS testing I agree it is important that's why I want to leave you with this. Coach Miles has been a middle school teacher for the last two years, and in those two years he has been voted best teacher by the parents and students. HE CARES!!!!

Let's do this BRACKEN COUNTY, let's give are kids a chance...

Why would he want to come to BC?

The reason Coach Miles wants to come is simple. He knows there is talent here in this county, and he want's to build something that this area can be proud of.

Respect Hinson and Persinger?? You said that Jason Hinson at best is an assistant!!! That’s good respect, and again they both have more than family ties in the area, they both LIVE in Bracken County. Miles was not the head coach, so, what did he win?? Wife playing division 1 ball??? What does that matter??? Is she putting in for the coaching job??? Coach Breeze worked on a team that went to the NCAA tournament that was a great hire!!!:thumb:

Also, are we getting in a situation where if we hire a coach that comes from a higher profile area, how soon until he seeks head jobs back in those areas.

I think it is pretty clear that the debacle w/Coach Breeze and his position @ WKU can be summed up as a JOKE!!! Had a little research been done by those in charge of the hire then that could have been a situation that could have been avoided.

I mentioned that the guy was from UHA, where he is from has nothing to do w/this possibly being a great hire! The reason it would be a great hire, a number of reasons: the guy can coach, he has proven and documented success, he has helped turn programs around, he has a passion and desire to build something, he would start w/an elementary program and work up, he has connections--that is important, he would move to and live in the area, and he would stay to see it through!

At least as well qualified as the other names mentioned!

I used to live in the area and I understand the Bracken County fans concerns about this coaching job being a stepping-stone job to a better position. However, do you limit your search for the best candidate just because of what has happened with the last few coaches? I would think not!

I do not know of the candidates other then things written here or things from the newspaper. So I cannot speak of them honestly, seems they both (Persinger and Hinson) are relatively young and passionate. That isn't enough though to lead a program or in this case rebuild one!

Just because Bracken has been burnt w/recent coaches leaving quickly for other jobs does not mean that trend would continue! I would hate for a qualified candidate not to get a chance because of the past and something he had not done or may not do! Maybe that person is out there and willing to move to and live in the community and help in any manner possible!

Bracken County really needs to get this right, they have fumbled their chance the last couple of times! Do the research, do the interviews, do the necessary background checks and then make an informed decision and move forward, but in the end do what is right for the school, the program, and the kids most importantly!

Very well spoken you old basketball coach........ I would also like to say TubbyCat is a silly billy......

Does anyone know where the search is at up to this point? Have these three men been interviewed?

I was told that interviews would be this week!

Has anyone else inquired? A few buddies said something about a Campbell County assistant.

hmmm... I think I know who that would be. Gonna find out though.

Just got word, NO interviews this week!

Applications were sent to the HS today from the Board Office. Everything is in the hands of the principal now!

Here is hoping that the Site Based Council and the principal will get things going and set up the interviews. Interview and then hire, SOON!

Would that Campbell assistant be former Bracken grad, Brad Riley?
